Thornton not coming in until the late second half tonight is inexcusable

Explain to me why Terry keeps playing when he constantly loses his man.

Lawson, Terry, Brewer, and Jones and let the Lakers go on a 16-2 run or something like that. Meanwhile we have Thornton who is by far outplayed his minimum contract by being the best player off the bench and who also balled out when asked to start at the beginning of the season. I'm just baffled.

Maybe motet is up to a genius trade and doesn't want to show case Thornton, that is the only explanation

That is the correct explanation. That lineup featuring lawson, brewer, and Jones was classic Morey meddling in order to showcase his players

Hmm that actually makes pretty good sense. Guess Brewer is not trying to leave Houston ? ;)

    If so --

because they looked a hot ass mess out there.

Anyway, I'm not sure how not playing Thornton is hiding his value somehow. I'm sure other GMs didn't sleep through the earlier games. I'm wondering if there's something else there. For him to score the way he does, it's kinda weird that he hasn't managed to stick anywhere the past couple of years.

So you feel that Morey would pick a lineup that is awful together to maximize their trade value?

Must've been late to practice or something along those lines.

No reason to play Lawson or Brewer over him. Even though Brewer has been playing better, Thornton is still the better player.

Okay, so he's literally the ONLY guy who didn't play tonight -- even in garbage time. I see no possible explanation other than him being in JB's doghouse.

And why, of all players, would he be? He hasn't played poorly, and I haven't seen a lack of effort from him like I have from others.

    Baffling.

This OR...maybe the Rockets are trying to trade for one of the players that did play on the floor...and hoping to ensure that Marcus Thornton wont be an additional trade piece that teams may demand for any potential trade.

Marcus Thornton will play a huge role on this team...His release and ability to make shots will tremendously help. For now...in a meaningless game...I say let him stay healthy and ride the bench.

Idk. This is his 4th team in 2 years, which is the only thing that makes me think maybe there's another issue there. But it definitely appears to be something other than just tinkering with the rotation or showcasing other guys. No reason he couldn't be out there for the last few minutes, otherwise.

He must have missed a team meeting or the shoot around this morning.

I can't think of any other reason as to why he wouldn't be getting minutes in the rotation let alone garbage minutes.
