not going to try to pass judgement on the guy until he has a offseason program and training camp with our team - thats how little faith I have on the Kings' player development. From all that has been said he has the best quality you want to see in any young player: hard worker - the other stuff will be built off of that one quality I think I would be absolutely overjoyed if he is the second coming of Kurt Thomas but I dont believe he is nearly as smart as Kurt was on the floor -Kurt's defensive awareness was underrated and he lasted this long in the league by making the right play consistently. I think he can be a decent player in the NBA - i have a feeling though it just wont be here in Houston

How many recent young Sacramento players have rapidly become better after leaving the team and worked with better coaches?
(I picked David Robinson because you forgot to put Joe Robinson on the list) http://www.whosdatedwho.com/tpx_60188/joe-robinson/
Too many people haven't given the guy a chance. Look at Terrance Jones - took him all season but he finally came around at the end. Same with D-Mo. They've been the team longer than Robinson, of course they're going to get PT over him. They're all rookies. I saw enough of Robinson in college to know they has the ability to a be a good NBA player. Carl Landry and David West are good comparisons. I hope the Rockets hang onto him. I'd rather move D-Mo or Jones (though I do like Jones).
Better question, how many of those picks were top 5 overall talent level? But to answer yours, Spencer Hawes has performed much better in Philly than during his time with Sacramento. All their other top 5-10 picks are still playing as ****ty as ever on that team.
I see Thomas Robinson having a similar career to Ronny Turiaf. Provides energy off the bench with decent shot blocking and energy but not someone that's going to be involved in a playoff rotation and will be there for depth purposes.
Quincy Douby, Hassan Whiteside, Omri Casspi, Spencer Hawes, Kevin Martin, Carl Landry. And Houston hasn't exactly done great with its lotto pick reject reclamation projects rescued from "bad situations." Jonny Flynn, Terrrence Williams, Hasheem Thabeet...
