Management don’t fully respect MDA. They are not supposed to look for a new coach now. Thib would be good fit after signing free agents, Marc gasol, Baynes, Milsap, Jeff Teague.
I give Harden/Westbrook/Tucker one month of working with Thibs before one or each of them stab Thibs in the head with a fork. Thibs drill sergeant run players into the ground mentality doesn’t fit with Hardens laid back attitude. Bad JuJu man

If they gonna sign juggernaut thibodeaux and forget about the extension Mike d'antoni left on bargaining table then can't really be surprised. McHale was too good to be true for Houston.
Rockets beat Derrick Rose and Timberwolves in a playoff series. Give d'antoni credit. God speed for nba and worldwide wide! The last great playoff series win and comeback was against clippers with McHale of 2015.
Give harden credit for defeating timbodeuax in playoff series in 2018, wolves. Harden had serious rebounding support from capeala back in that series capeala had a 15 rebound game, 16 rebound game, 11 rebound game, and a 17 rebound game!
I would be on board with Ty Lue as the head coach with Tommy Thibs as #2, or Fizdale as head with Thibs as #2 Those feel like good balances. Thibs can't be head coach but he'd be great as a crotchety assistant
Yes the player; but the player did not come to Houston. The disaster-failed Coach/GM of the T-Wolves came to the Rockets. I liked McHale, but people should not mistake Kevin as a god of coaching or GM’ing......that he is not. Rockets were not blessed by his presence and should not feel grateful that McHale was quote- unquote “slumming” in Houston.
MDA with Darren Erman as D coach is better than all those options. Thibs Minny teams sucked on D, absolutely sucked. Even with defensive stalwarts like Butler, Covington, Okogie, etc.
