I think this team is better than last year. Much better depth, no more 6 man rotation.

except it is good cuz half the year 2 of their big 3 were out and harden again had to carry his team, having another career year.

Nostalgia is a hell of a drug. Last year, when we got taken out of our game, we responded by jacking bad 3's instead of running plays. This year, we do exactly the same.

Precisely, folks moaned about no playbook in the McHale era, while all we do now is jacking up treys.

I disagree. I think Morey has constructed a very deep, talented roster. Our scoring droughts really fall on the shoulders of Dantoni. His coaching style is way too laissez faire. A coach like Popovich heck even Doc Rivers would call a play to get the team an easy bucket to swing momentum back. It’s been that way since his days in Phoenix. It’s why the Suns always flamed out in tight moments in the playoffs. All boils down to coaching.

I think the supporting cast is about the same this year, if not a little better. The main difference is that Paul is clearly a step below the level he was at last year. Last year we were able to hold down the fort better when Harden was on the bench. This year I feel like everything falls apart more easily. Haven't looked at the numbers so maybe I'm mistaken but that's just what it feels like.

Rockets are 10x better this year. Harden is better overall this year. CP3 is about the same but a little decline on scoring. House Overall is better then Ariza. Tucker can slot at SF if needed now because we actually have back up PFs/versatility. Capela is way better this year and more confident. EG is playing pretty good as of late as well.

Rivers, Faried and House are extra bench support we didn’t have last year. Even Shump and Gary Clark are better options then what we had last year.

This team is better than last years team - we are a deeper team. We can actually play a 9 or 10 guy rotation - even by MDA standards....

This team simply hasnt had as much opportunity to gel... Last year we added GG mid season - he's the only mid season addition that I recollect playing any meaningful minutes... This year Rivers, Faried, Shump and House in and out and back again.... the learning curve has been much shorter...

The net value of our pieces is def greater...

The team is better this year, but it doesn't mean they should be expected to sweep a 5 seed.

Last year's Rockets lost to the Jazz AT HOME in a Game 2! Without Rubio!

You realize we only reached 100 points like twice in that 7-game series with the Warriors last year, right??

Who's crying now, homer? It's adorable that you guys truly believe they tried hard against the Clippers and lost.

Team is deeper but with glaring issues such as rebounding and length on defense.

Last year’s team had way more grit and a hustling mentality with Ariza, Tucker, Mbah and CP3 on a mission. This year’s team shows a one man hustling show: Tuckwagon. Sad really, last year’s team would’ve won today. I respect the Clippers way more than this Rockets team.
