This team needs a real PF. PJ Tucker is not the answer.

OP is right. He’s not saying we should get rid of Tucker. He’s saying this team needs a natural power forward and if you guys can’t see that then you haven’t been watching games. He won’t be used for every match up but there are some teams where it’ll be necessary. How many career games does Montrezz have to have for our front office to do something about it.

 

i been saying this. I love tuck but 5o me its just like with gsw. Ask yourself why dont the warriors run hampton five every game just start it. I think its because the impact would not be as great. Because during the season teams would adjust. I think that's what we should do with tuck

You’re right that Trez would be playing 5 instead of 4. I meant that we need a natural 4, meaning the traditional big power forward, but not necessarily that he has to play the 4 or he can’t be the 5 on the floor. I really do believe this team needs a player that’s in between a Capela and a Tucker (style and size wise). There will be times when a player like that can be very useful in games.

 

If we’re going to use Taj as example what the rockets need is a real backup big. Which he could provide. He doesn’t have much to do with pj and the 4 spot here

 

Exactly, we dont need to do anything with Tucker, we really need to get Capella a back up big so we never have to play Hartenstein ......like ever.

I think PJ should start at small forward with another versatile 4 next to him.
