We missed way too many wide open threes today. Even in the 1st quarter when things seemed good we were missing a lot of gimmes. Make some of those shots and the refs won't even be in a position to impact the game like they did. It happens some times, just bounce back and hopefully learn a few things from this game.

14/39 for 36% is great for any nba team

players miss wide open shots all the time. the spurs missed many open shots tonight.

That's cause Harden was godly tonight. Without him and Beverly it's pretty bad. I was actually surprised Gordon hit that clutch 3.

So the ball has to be caught before the 8 second mark and not just out the players hands?

Why does it have to be all or nothing?

Our bench didn't show up, Ariza didn't show up, the Spurs are a great team, and the refs did suck.

    I've never understood this mentality.

Most basketball games are decided in the 4th qtr (or occassionally overtime). All the rest is just window dressing until you get there. When a team is in a tight game and a series of bad calls goes against them, it makes no sense to talk about how if they had only played better earlier in the game they would have won.

Guess what? They DID play well enough early on to put themselves into position to win late. Except they got hosed by horrible officiating over and over again. I can't think of many teams -- no matter how great they are -- who can pull out victories in tight games where officiating is so horribly one sided.

The Spurs are great, but the refs DID help. A LOT.

If you want to blame anyone blame Mike Anotonio.

People can blame the refs all they want... but it shouldnt have gotten close...
    Poor coaching and personal management...
    Bench didn't show up...
Lack of focus down the stretch....
The game was ours to take... but we left it in the hands of Kawhi and the refs...
we lost - end of story... :(

i think this kind of narrative is stupid... oh the spurs played well and deserved to win? well.. didn't we play well too? if the calls were correct, we may have easily won, and in that case would we have played well and deserved to win? you see how crediting the team that was helped by the calls doesn't quite make sense??

Lots of self hating fans out today.

Refs took this game from the Rockets. Anyone with an eye could see that.

OK, sure the refs blew it, we missed too many 3s BUT, you can't make 4 consecutive turn overs that gave the Spurs way more points than their win margin. You can't make that many mistakes on the Spurs or they will beat you almost every time...Pop is a great coach!. That being said, GO ROCKETS!

Rockets won't beat Spurs in a playoff series. We all know it. It will always be something. Take your pick.
