it has nothing to do with physical stamina - one doesn't simply degrade physically like clockwork every time the screws get tight in the clutch. it's purely a mental collapse, imo. when the opposing team presses instead of adapting harden digs his heels in further and lets his frustrations dictate his actions. unfortunately for us there is far too much history with him in clutch situations at this point not to admit this. no matter how terrible those calls were he simply can't let that happen on back to back plays - it's pure stupidity. regardless of smart flopping, why even attempt to test brothers not once but TWICE by extending your arms? how about making a different move to get open?? it isn't hard. harden simply asks for this sort of treatment and opposing teams are catching on. if you frustrate him enough harden will implode and act out out of sheer spite. he needs to address this bc it's a legitimate problem.
History. He's already been injured in multiple playoffs, and now, he's older and already injured this season.
All these injuries and he never misses games... Maybe he should take some time off here and there if injuries make him such a worthless NBA player on the court when teams decide to press him off and on the ball.
Well, I was just reading this page. Well, it still applies to Harden. He seems to play through a lot of leg bruises and strains which obviously severely restricts his mobility.
I don't think 50/50 means that he missed 50% of the games. It just means that there's a 50% chance that he will miss games in the playoffs. He missed two games in 2015 and two games in 2016. In the playoffs, missing a game or two could mean losing a series.
True. I didn't mean "50/50" to be taken literally, but even if so, I didn't say 50/50 he'd play but rather 50/50 that he'd be healthy. How many games has he played hampered by some nagging injury? Hopefully we can be smart with out we utilizing him in the regular season to minimize the chances of these issues arising in the playoffs. But I'm not optimistic, considering all the time he's missed right at the very start of the season.
Honestly, why should we expect the media to embrace Harden if half this board is ready to trade him. Disappointing to read some of the comments on here some times.
I can see a lot of people stating rational concerns for some of Harden's severe deficiencies as a superstar guard and plenty of posters being snowflakes and being easily offended at those criticims.
"snowflakes." Interesting word choice. Critical thinking is good. But you have to ask yourself when looking at the people making the criticisms, are they the kind of people that looks at the totality of the situations or just rather are taking shots to take shots.
Also, when thinking critically, one should realize potential motivations of those posters to see if you are being paranoid or actually are debating people with a irrational hatred of Harden which seems rather unlikely.
