LOL listening to espn radio omw to work today with some guy talking about that sick move Curry made today and was like "Sorry Harden, Curry MVP"... dude why dont we bring in Jason Williams in to add another person to the MVP race...
By the OP's standard, Daryl Morey is doing a great job of making Harden the MVP by making sure that the Rockets suck badly, particularly against high level teams, without Harden carrying the load. I hope that Morey does as good a job as GSW's at screwing up his star's MVP chances.
Hilarious thread so what we have learned from this thread is Curry shouldn't be MVP due to an average performance today and that he pads his stats during blowouts. SMH
Then he shouldn't have made the claim that a bad game in a win shows that Curry's not an MVP candidate.
The thing with Curry is that he is a really flashy and entertaining player to watch. It's easy to say he's better than Harden because he has more spectacular plays. But I truly believe Harden is the better player because has a greater impact on the game. Obviously Curry is a great player, and he and Harden are the only legitimate MVP candidates IMO ( this Westbrook MVP talk is insane to me).
Debatable if Curry or Harden is the real MVP, but for sure Kerr is coach of the year...and maybe yearsss to come .
Budenholzer will win it, Golden State's improvement has been all round, Green and Klay, Barnes, addition of Livingston, and the coaches as well Atlanta has been Horford got healthy and? (but this from 8th seed in the east) People just look at Atlanta and it's hard to peg anything but the coaching that has moved them from also ran to contender.
The main reason why Steph Curry is getting the bid to win the MVP is simple: He's not a Houston Rocket and history has shown they refuse to give MVP's to players with the heart of a champion.
Its simpler than that. Individually his season is as good as anyone else's, and he's leading his team to a number 1 seed in an incredibly competitive Western conference.
Yeah it's not the hard to figure out why he is in contention. My vote is for Harden but it won't be a disgrace to the award if Curry wins it.
OP thinks LAC is a major playoff team without Griffin Homer trying too hard to lobby for Harden MVP GSW can probably beat a Griffin-less LAC by resting Curry completely
When you title the thread "This is why Curry's not MVP" and then give one reason: An MVP can not go 3-9 from the field and only get 4 assists with his team still winning against one of the best teams in the West. The MVP has to be a guy that the team relies on and the team can not go without him. Then it certainly is meant to be the entirety of your argument.
How many games have the Warriors won without Curry being the driving force for the win? Certainly wasn't this game How many times have the Rockets won with Harden being the best player for the Rockets?
