If Pop was our coach, then we might be able to pull it off. With Mcfail, we could go 1-4 or 2-4. I just donot see us winning this series at all. Hope i am wrong.
Honestly, the biggest issue on defense is stupid mistakes (getting backcut, leaving LMA wide open) and getting outrebounded when you have Asik and Dwight on your team. LMA and Lillard will get theirs, but I have no doubt that we can outscore them so long as we at least pretend to contest shots and then rebound everything. On offense, if Harden is going to struggle this hard, Lin needs to play a much more central role. Pick and Roll needs to be the name of the game, as no team has shown they can consistently stop either a Harden/Lin and Howard combination as well as the lesser-used Lin and Harden 1/2 PnR. As tempting as it is to just go to Howard and have him dominate, this strategy just freezes up our other guys and lulls them into a false sense of complacency. When the Howard well dries up, everybody is ice cold from the field. Harden and Lin (and to a lesser extent Parsons) are the ones who control the pace on the perimeter and dictate the flow of the offense. We can't rely on Harden's hero-ball in the playoffs as much - everybody has to get involved.
Not trying to be a naysayer or be all doom and gloom but this rocket team is simply too inexperienced to come back from such a deficit.
