The refs missed 3 shooting fouls on Harden's 3-pointers, including a potential 4-point play. That was awful officiating. There was a one particularly egregious foul on a Gordon drive that wasn't called. And then there was an obvious moving screen to free up Curry for a 3 Those were the big ones that stick in my mind. The Rockets could have weathered that if they didn't go on a historically horrid 3-point shooting drought at the worst possible time. Defending the Warriors takes a hell of a lot out of our shooters. When their offense gets flowing, it's like every score is worth double points because it feeds into their defense and kills our ability to score in transition.
Stick to the facts. We were 7-44 from 3. that is 15.9%. We would have won the game if we never shot a 3pt. GSW was 16-39 for 41%. As for the ref nonsense, here is data for you: GSW was 7-14 from the FT line for 50% HOu was 13-22 from the FT line. We got our fair share of calls. Its this stupid mentality of playing 1 dimensional ball that kills us. When we mix it up, play solid D, we destroy them. When we go back to ISO ball only, or shooting 3's only, we get our asses handed to us.
What does this have to do with the refs? Telling me we could of won in spite of the refs is irrelevant. I agree we could of won in spite of the refs. so what? This doesn't make the calls accurate. You are citing meaningless facts. Do you agree the refs missed 2 moving screens on the warriors that gave Curry wide open threes? Do you agree the refs missed three fouls on harden three pointers? Look I can understand someone driving in the lane and not being able to tell a charge or block, but these calls were obvious fouls. When the referee crews were announced you had hundreds of post concerned about how the game would be called, then you had really obvious missed calls that swung the game in the warriors favor by about 15-20 points. When fans know a game will be called bad and then it is, that's a problem for the NBA. This doesn't happen in the NFL or MLB. how many NFL refs can you even name?
somebody's brain is incapable of higher level thinking and reverts to caveman mentality challenging other people to be more masculine like he thinks he is, LMAO
Missing Chris Paul, who was the one guy we had who can excel in the mid-range, definitely hindered our ability to mix up the offensive attack. Sigh.
I'm usually a "we lost this game/the refs didn't shoot the ball" kinda guy, but that third quarter hit job by the refs was as blatant of an inside job as I've ever seen in my 35 years watching basketball. If you didn't see what was so blatantly in your face, you are blind. When the TNT announcers are calling it out, its pretty obvious. Why do you guys think they do it in the third quarter too? Just too obvious in this case, but after that hit job, it was all insane shooting by Curry/Klay/KD, and the worst shooting ever by the Rockets. What the NBA did tonight matters to me though. Just turns me off to the league which is a shame with having such a great team to root for and so many great players at the moment in the league.
the missed calls of harden 4 pt play, the moving screen by bell, gordans drive were all momentum swings. all they have to do was do enough to get GS in a rhythm and hou out of theres. which absolutely happened. it takes care of itself from there. the nba got a trash finals. let the game actually be played and whoever the better team is so be it.
There isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer here. 7/44 from 3, including 0/26 at one point, will cause you to lose at every level in every game. There is no coming back from it. However.... The referees set the second-half tone in games 6 and 7 by swallowing their whistles in the third quarter. So much has been made of the Warriors’ third quarter runs and some of that is due to Kerr making adjustments. However, I think a lot of it also has to do with a different type of officiating - one that conveniently emerges after a mandated break in the game - that encourages the Warriors to make these runs. The demoralizing effect of all of the egregious no-calls at the rim for the Rockets and moving screens in front of the refs that don’t get called add up and contribute to chucking. Why would the Rockets continue to drive to the rim if they know - and they know because of the in-game evidence - that they will get mauled by two defenders and there won’t be a foul called? So they start jacking up threes, missing them, and the Warriors begin to get in a rhythm on the other end (including threes set up by moving screens that get called in high school hoops). Never mind Zara standing in our corner shooters’ ears and acting as an extra defender. So, yes, the Rockets deserved to lose after that shooting performance. But the shooting didn’t happen in a vacuum and the unnecessary, heavy-handed reasons for that vacuum are what sting.
You stupid or something? Doesn't matter if the 3 doesn't fall, they still were playing hard D and lost by 9. You don't understand that when momentum is on your side, more runs can be made. This could have been a blowout if calls were in favor of Houston
the rockets are a rhythm team. theyve been that way all year. you take out some calls that should be made and let GS hit their shots to get them going. of course hou is going to have an extremely tough time. it was super obvious tonight. that tired angle some of these guys are bringing up postgame is just fake. i dont want to hear anything about that as far as what happened in this game 7

It's not incompetence. They are just doing their jobs. The NBA is all about ratings and Lebron and the Warriors way out draws Lebron versus Houston. Plain and simple. NBA has always been rigged. If it was not, you would see way more turnover when it comes to the refs. They are constantly making the wrong call and allowed to keep their job. That means bad calls are part of the script.
