Things to look forward to next season: Alternate Jerseys

Hasn't it been confirmed though that they are not black?

If they are not black then what color will they be? I don't know we don't have a third color do we?

I guess that Silver could be a third color...could they be Silver?

 

i dont think that was ever confirmed...just a rumor, actually a misunderstanding, didn't it turn out to be their practice gear?

 

Low percentage thread.

I want either a) championship jerseys.

Or b) the long talked about, but will never happen, black and red alternates.

All the stuff of dreams though.

I actually like the current jerseys though, can't understand the hate aroiund for them.

PS - Everything concerning jerseys seems to be pure speculation. I can't recall any official confirmation, only rumors.

And I'm with Aussie. I like the current unis.

 

Actually, I am quite sure that Tad Brown went on record confirming that we will have alternate jerseys next season. He said they are 'darker' but not black.

 

I did a search and I guess it was announce on 610. Still, I remain skeptical until I see an official announcement.

 

Hmm...if they are not black my guess is they will be Silver.

I really hope we don't go the Wizards route and just throw some random colors together.

 

I wanted black ones with red.

I want to get jerseys with new cuts more than I want an alternate. The shoulder areas are whack and the thick double stripes on the shoulders make the players look like Power Rangers or something, especially when wearing the white jerseys. The heavy stitching of those whack stripes also causes the edges of the shoulders to curl up a little and not sit right. Overall, our uniforms look more like costumes than actual uniforms. I prefer the color scheme over the pajamas but I much preferred the cut of the pajamas. Ideally, I'd like to see the championships uniforms with slightly wider shoulder cuts, a la the Lakers or Pistons jerseys.

 

I debated making a post saying "Countdown to BrooksBall post about the cut of the jerseys in 3 . . . 2 . . . 1 . . ." but decided not to. Still, you're really predictable.

Unfortunately, the NBA Commission Board has refused your request for an alternate BLACK and RED jersey. The Commission decided that they would not accept it because Ronald Artest would look to intimidating for the other teams, the referees and the fans. Please accept our sincere appologize, we are open for discussions that would involve brighter color jerseys.

I agree. Unfortunately the chances that they change the cut on the official ones are slim. Therefore I am looking forward to an alternate jersey a la Cavaliers (those Orange & Baby blue are fresh).

 

Howabout yellow and red then? Or yellow + green? hah

The NBA Commission has approved your request for an alternate RED and YELLOW. The Commission liked the idea because they are the colors of China and would sell very well overseas.

Didn't they say, they are gonna make alternate jerseys for the next season? I belive they did, and hopefully those would be the black ones.
