So in that same vein Kevin McHale was a great coach? Thibs is a dictator. Scotty is a players coach. Who would this team respond better to? Brooks also can help recruiting efforts for you know who.
if i were thibs i would consider 1. Minny u get a young team u can mold thats the only pro. And con would be minny is a small market. 2. Rockets harden, dwigt possibly KD or barnes. Great offense, but defense not there. Major impact can be done. Its the 4th largest market. 3. Lakers. Pros if they win the lotto this will be huge for thibs. This can probably make or break the desicion going to lakers. If they win and get simmons or ingram. They got a pretty solid group of young guys. And he can mold dangelo much like he did with rose. 4. Wizards. They play great defense as it is. I dont think thibs can do much with the wizards unless they give him head coach/gm position. They have wall and beal but not much else. They can get a solid big at the end of the lotto. But very unlikely the big becomes a star. I do believe the rockets are a coach away from being elite and thibs is light years ahead of scottie brooks. But if i had to pick and chose i would do this Mchale- minny JVG-Lakers Thibs-rockets Knicks-keep rambo Suns- Luke Walton Wizards- kevin ollie Nets- ettore messina Kings-JB Bickerstaff Keep in mind tho if Thibs goes to lakers i think scott is on our team
Assuming Durant wants to be coached by Brooks again. Nobody knows his true feelings on that. Harden and Durant have both been coached by Thibodeau also on the National Team. Harden seems to really like Thibs as a coach and seems to respond to him. He credited his time with Thibs over the summer with his improved defense last season.
I don't see the connection you're trying to make with McHale. He's a very different coach from Thibs. JBB is a player's coach. How did they respond to him?

not a fan of Brooks... I like Tom, I think he can bring in some discipline, but anyone related to JVG gets me a bit irritated. Their coaching is similar although Thibs is much tougher.
Yea, I agree. Minny has more potential but market kinda sucks. So he might look at the total picture, which at the end of the day is Houston.
