Scott telling the truth and he can't wait for this season to be over. lol I bet they regret that Lin trade now eh? Wait... unless the Lakers were striving for the top pick then I guess the trade makes 100% sense. Honestly, he's a cancer who has no clue how to adapt his playing style to his coaches system. His only skill is creating turnovers and making awesome faces like this in an NBA game: I'm glad Kobe goes off on him in practice, hell I would be the same way in a pick up game if Lin was on my team. Lin was unprepared for Kobe's harshness/demeanor and was like "I didn't sign up to the NBA for this!" "Can I be excused from practice Coach Scott?". This emotional abuse was exciting to watch and I would pay good money to see it over and over via 30 second vine clips or to be there in person to watch Lakers practices.
Scott is referring to multiple ("a whole lot of") players on his team. Whether true or not, this is not a good look for a coach, and is leading to drama that isn't helpful to the team. He might have good reasons to suspect that this is the case, but from the perspective of an outside free agent who may have only heard second-hand accounts and speculations of what is going on in LA, this probably just adds more to the speculation that the Lakers' situation is dysfunctional (and of course the rest of the team in the NBA will be only too happy to use this perception against them). It's one thing to criticize a player's performance on court, but when a coach attacks a player's-- or in this case, seemingly many players'-- integrity and character, it just tends to not end very well even if he was speaking the truth. Just look at what happened to Brian Shaw this season.
I don't blame him when he has low IQ mental midgets like Lin who make boneheaded play after play. Oh and air balls plenty
Way to throw your team under the bus yet again and protect the few that kiss his a$$ even though they are one of the worst Laker teams ever assembled! Terrible mgmt top to bottom, and that permeates through their head coach: Byron Scott. The Lakers would be wise to let him go first this offseason...and actually hire someone off the Golden State staff (ie. Alvin Gentry).
seasons almost over and whats happening with the lakers? lin couldnt make the starting pg boozer and davis go in and out of the starting lineup, even $9mil jordan hill nick young distracted by iggy's booty $50mil for "not even half a season" kobe lmao mmm yes lakers suck  Spoiler
Byron Scott has been a horrific coach all season. Constantly throwing his players under the bus (except Kobe), making terrible in game adjustments and trying to run a Princeton style half court offense with a team full of players who are suited for an up and down the court game. Seriously, he isn't working with much but is an embarrassment to the organization. He's coasting on the fumes of his rings as a player.
this isn't even close to the craziest thing he has said...last week he thought Kobe should be the MVP
Scott is clearly talking about Airemy but he's safe from being shot in the back. If anything Airemy has proven he's not accurate to hit anything. Besides, Mo Williams would steal the gun from him before he got off a shot anyways.
