They didn't trade up because they didn't want Bridgewater.

Looks like we're not drafting a single QB.
Andre Johnson is not getting any younger.
    I hope they realize that.

In your mind, why does it look like they don't plan on drafting a single QB based on the fact that they didn't like any of the QB's in the first round enough to pick them? They've already flat out said they were drafting a QB at some point, did you just forget that?

All that statement means is that the Texans didn't like Manziel or Bridgewater...

Didn't S Pendergast lay $60K down on Bridgewater going in the 1st round? Think he was sweating it out?

This. I'm banking on the fact that BoB & Co. knows something here. After all, he comes from a system where a 6th round QB pick turned into Tom Brady so he deserves the benefit of the doubt. While I personally liked Bridgewater, I am forced to admit that his size was a major concern - he's essentially a QB in a WR's body with smallish hands. Mentally and football knowledge-wise, he was probably the best QB on the board but in the pros, a QB has to have the physical ability to translate these things on the field and that's where the questions are about Bridgewater. Honestly, I thought they (Texans) were hoping that Bortles would be there at 33 but Jacksonville stunned everyone by making the leap at #3.

If you're going to post this in every thread, can you a) correct the spelling mistake and b) make it funny?

im slightly upset they didnt try to trade up for manziel or bridgewater. they could have got one of them if they truly wanted them. guess they didn't like either that much.

No, if they were contacted by the Seahawks, they had two players in mind they had equally rated so that if one was taken then they'd fall back to the other.

If you don't trust Coach BOB to make the evaluations of quarterbacks, why would you hire him as head Coach? If the new head coach had wanted TB Rick would have moved heaven and earth to get him.

My guess is the first criteria for drafting a QB in the top 3 rounds would be " would he start over Fitzpatrick?"( He did score 48/50 on the wonderlic Texx)

Bring in a new coach who is considered a quarterback guru and don't let him get the quarterback he wants and drafts another OLB instead... Great Job.

Vegas had Carr going before Bridgewater, so... Bridgewater isn't all that special folks. Carr is right up there.
