Who knew there were so many?!

Thank goodness the Rockets didn't end up facing the Spurs.

A lot of "fans" here would be chanting

My brother-in-law has great season tickets to the Spurs and everytime I've driven down there to see the Rocks play them, there's some very large chick who bellows like a beached whale with a hernia during most of the game, cheering San Antonio in a loud, sort of foaming at the mouth way. I hate that. Oh, and I always get turned around when driving in SA because of those damned former goat paths they have as streets. I hate that, too.

    That's all I've got.

Respecting a team and/or giving a team their props doesn't have to equal cheering for them.

Sampson's injury derailed the Rockets' luck in the mid 80's... same with Yao more recently. We didn't earn the #1 with him either.

As for proximity equaling rivalry.... that's usually how it works... especially In-State.

    It's cool, though...
    We can agree to disagree.

What is there to respect about sitting guys due to old age or intentionally fouling the other team ad nauseam? Not to mention the flopping as an art form.

I find it impossible to hate Tim Duncan, to be honest. Glad we don't have to face them in the 2nd round though, I guess.

Hate is a strong word, but his incessant whining is definitely hard to like:

I have no respect for the Spurs. Screw them and their fans, including the closet Spurs' fans on this website.

As a kid going to see MLB games, my dad took us to Cincinnati twice,,,that Cow Bell woman down the right field line with flabby arms while ringing the bell was easily my worst experience as a kid growing up watching sports.

    She would ring the bell a l l g a m e l o n g

Their coach has made a mockery of the game so to see them lose in the 1st round in such gut wrenching fashion was a beautiful moment. And Ginobili is one of the biggest floppers of all time. Bruce Bowen was also one of the dirtiest players ever in NBA history. Not to mention the constant whining and complaining from the coach on down to the players.

These are your San Antonio Spurs

You really have to tip your hat to guys like Bowen - the type of player who will literally kick a 3-pt shooter IN THE CHIN; then on the next play has the balls to FLOP. Once in a lifetime type of player there. That kind of guy will put rings on the organizations collective fingers.

You can say that about any team, really. "Without (star player), this franchise is crap."

the entire playoff season rode on the final game against the Pelicans.

Karma got the Spurs. This is payback for 92 when they and the refs screwed us .
