For the Rockets to have any chance of beating the Warriors, they need to hit a ton of three-pointers. Everyone knows that, including the Warriors. So the defensive strategy on their part is simple -- guard the 3-point line like hell.

If we don't have a counter-punch, there's no way we'll beat them in a 7-game series. I'm doubtful we'd even take it to 6 games..

fwiw: They actually used a different strategy last game...they brought aggressive help into the lane (leaving someone open). First game, they gave us the lane, as to your point, with no help defense. Rolling out both strategies in two consecutive games can be indicative that they worry they can't stick to one method, as we will adjust. So, it is prudent to switch up....needed. And they can do it.

Whle they are clearly the better team, I consider it nice to get confirmation from a team like them that we are good enough at beating both defenses (help and no help) that they can't just show us one look. They know there is no silver bullet, simple formula. I could see Kerr looking at the first game of the week and seeing all those easy buckets we missed (Harden 4-11 at the rim for starters), and thinking it wasn't wise to expect giving us the lane with no help defense was a winning strategy two games in a row.

Also, I'm sure part of this is practice for Cleveland, since they also shoot a ton of 3s and drive into the lane. They know they can't beat CLE by just guarding the perimeter every game. They need to mix it up, and practiced that with us, since we essentially do the same thing.

They didn't even have Kevin Durant. There's no way we can beat them in the playoffs.

I remember when Clippers used to own us, then we met in playoffs and we somehow broke the spell...

Yeah, not with this roster. Harden and role players just isn't good enough. They'd beat us 4-1 in a playoff series.

We are who we are.....not at their level until we get defensive stoppers and size. Morey needs to work on that, as he failed and let teams like Portland acquire the big guy we should have been after.

Not to complain about the officiating BUT the refs look the other way on Curry's traveling and the team's illegal screening and that really pisses me off. Even when this team is on the ropes - you can count on the refs to bail them out which allows them to recover and start a run. 6th man is not on their team.

The Warriors own every team but maybe the Spurs + Cavs.

Nurkic on this team would've been ridiculous. He's the same age as Capela, but he has a lot more upside. The Nuggets even gave the Blazers a 1st round pick as well.

Well they pretty much own every team but maybe the Cavs(and they still had no business losing to them).

At least we've been pretty competitive with them lately. Unlike in the past where they would always wipe us out.

    Ten times? Exaggerate much?

Does Not have caps speed and fast twitch dunking.

    Nurk was limping already too.

Instead he is a low post beast with amazing passing ability. Having said that Clint is probably a better fit for our high pick and roll offense.

We all know low post bangers have shorter careers

So you are saying the Warriors are a historically good team and will be the for the foreseeable future?

Just bad timing our window is during the GSW's reign.

Well, we have a 2nd round pick this year. A few free agents this summer available we can overpay and watch break down when we need them the most.

They have excellent defensive schemes with a versatile roster that executes them. When JH13 is nullified there is no plan B except launch away. When the cylinders click, the result becomes competitive and sometimes spectacular.

It would have been awesome if Ariza learnt how to dribble-drive and create.
It would have been great if the $20 mil PF slot was filled by a Serge Ibaka type player. I like Ryno for the spacing, not at that contract.
It would have been flat out savage if PatBev was a 7 footer as based on hustle and grit, he would be our Rodman and be chairman of the boards.

Our roster is flawed in that lapses in concentration, rebounding, turnovers, lack of genuine rim protectors and size, JH centricity on offense, patchy defence and high variances in shooting will be exposed and exploited by the likes of GSW and SA.

I'm sure the front office is well aware of these short comings.
