I had GSP winning rounds 1,3,5. Hendricks with 2 n 4. Besides, it's common knowledge, if a challenger wants to get the belt through the decision, it's gotta be DECISIVE. This was waaay too even, Champ will always get the decision that way.
Sorry mate, I should've asked- what other rounds did GSP win clearly except the 4th? All 4 other rounds could just have easily gone to Johny.
I knew that final take down earned it for GSP. Oh shut it people, at least george mixed it up. All Hendrix did was wait for the left.
he's been hinting at this for the last month and said he had a big announcement at the press conference the other day
Everyone jacks up GSP face. He bruises and cuts easily. GSP landed more strikes and countered really well. I thought Hendricks had won by a slim margin. When it comes to championship bouts though, the challenger has to damn near knock the guy out or submit him to win.
i had a feeling some people could look at this fight and say george won. To me it reminded me of Frankie vs Ben 1 where clearly Ben was landing the harder shots, yet some people thought frankie won. Objectively looking at the fight George was being outclassed and it was not just the left rds 1-3 Hendricks was using good head movement. And the uppercut and knees were outstanding.
I don't care what the margin was, I don't care about "He should have won but..." Satan does NOT need an advocate. Hendricks won that fight in my mind. To me he's the champion. I respect GSP, but I'll lose some respect if he walks out without giving Hendricks another shot. How old is Kobe? How old is Mayweather? This man from OKC deserves another fight. Give it to him!
What a robbery! I felt Gus beat Jones earlier this year but thought it was really close and could see the the argument for either fighter. This fight was not near as close, Hendricks out struck him, neaturized his wrestling, pushed against the cage, controlled the octagon. Garbage calls like this is what kills fighting sports.

Other than the fact that the only people who thought GSP won were 2 out of 3 judges, 1 fellow fighter (Florian), 0/18 media scorers, and a portion of GSP fans, the biggest indicator was that in between rounds, during the fight, GSP's corner said in French that GSP lost the 1st round (the disputed round). The consensus is that Hendricks clearly won 2 and 4 and GSP clearly won 3 and 5. Round 1 was the disputed one, but most still had Hendricks. Imo, they both scored points in the 1st, but Hendricks was stronger, in control, and did more damage. GSP was cut and hurt after the 1st round.
