If we want to hop right back into contention, we will not go with a 4-3 HC. Our defensive personnel is not suited for it.

That eliminates several popular candidates right off the bat. Lovie, Gruden, and Zimmer, to name a few.

I think if Cowher doesn't take the job this time, he's done for good. He speaks very highly of the Texans personnel, but I wonder if he has kept up his coaching network.

Cowher + a new school OC would be fantastic.

The Texans have to have one of the most appealing coaching vacancies in the NFL in some time.

If Gruden or Cowher were going to entice a return, this would be a good team to get back too.

    Wow.

Dont really want Gruden or Dungy. Gruden has been known not to be a trustworthy coach to his players. As a man, how can you trust a guy like Gruden.

Dungy, I feel like he is overrated. He won a championship cause he had Manning. I really do not like his quiet demeanor. He is boring, how can any player get excited with him as theHC? He is not a yeller or a screamer. He has a passive aggressive tone which I dont like.

I want the chin. Give me Cowher.

Record 7 straight losses by 7 or less. Yes, this is KC. Just good coaching away from doing damage. Plus a top pick in every round in the draft.

Regarding Gruden, McNair stated he wanted an "ethical" coach. Isn't Gruden pretty much hated by his former players for unethical behavior and mind games? This isn't dislike for being a hard ass, but real dislike for being a scumbag and liar? Or were those statements dismissed/discredited?

Apparently the way Dungy treated his players "like men" had a way to get them going. Kicking **** over and screaming isn't the only way to get guys going... And being quiet in public is different than chewing guys out in private.

Why would Art Briles be a possible candidate when Bob already stated they wanted someone with at least NFL experience and preferably NFL head coach experience.

What about Dan Quinn the D coordinator for the Seahawks? He has NFL experience too.

Tom Clements - Green Bay's OC

Trade the #1 overall pick for 2 first rounders and get a strong armed QB that can run a spread and use the other pick on a receiver

The statement was head coaching experience and NFL experience. So a college head coach who was an NFL coordinator would fit the bill. I have already seen ESPN butcher the statement as meaning only former NFL head coaches.

Lovie+Cutler, added to this team and I think AFC South is ours to lose next year.

Love and Cutler could never win anything in Chicago with a top defense and Brandon Marshall. Why would it work here?

Cowher....so long as he hasn't fallen "behind the times".

    Texans need a culture change.

That is a horrible list from Clayton. Very few I'd have on my list.
