Where would he have been weighing in at?

I would trade the pick, not sure who I'd draft, though.

Agreed, the two most intriguing players in the draft, both would get fans buzzing. Can you imagine the reaction if the Texans traded back into the first and got both of them?

    Browns will snatch him up.

I don't mean to be a pain in the ass, but it probably would have been a good idea to wait a few more days before starting this thread. We are still very much in the shadow of Clowney ' s pro day. Three or four days after Manziel's pro day, the poll would have been skewed much more towards him. All-in-all, the "pro day bump (or dip in Bridgewater's case)" showed effect for longer than the time that has passed since Clowney ' s day.

Maybe you should have waited a week or so if you wanted to get the most accurate results.

Their Manziel love was a function of Mike Lombardi. Mike Lombardi was fired quite a while back. The new Cleveland brass apparently not quite as enamored. I would be surprised if Cleveland takes him at 4.

I'd rather trade the pick if we could get good value. Otherwise, take the BPA and that's Clowney imo.

"D" shouldn't even be an option. Only offering a 2nd round pick is not even enough to start a conversation. But you're right. Too many trade scenarios to try to guess but a 1st round pick in next year's draft should be on the table automatically IMO.

But if they trade back, I'd rather they trade back with Buffalo. If they're willing to trade back to 6 they may as well be willing to trade back to 9 and get a better trade offer.

Yessir!!! That would be perfect. My #1 pick would be Mack. More flexiblity than Clowney. I wouldn't be mad about picking Clowney though.

I'm sticking with Manziel. Early on, I was a Clowney advocate, but I just don't see how a generational prospect manages his junior year numbers.

Manziel is rich already. He drives a 7 series BMW. He's playing for love not money. He proved to me that he's willing to work by improving his under-center technique. During his pro day, he knocked it out of the park under high pressure.

I'm hoping that this is an Olajuwon/Jordan draft situation, where there isn't really a wrong answer. That is except for Sam Bowie, aka Bridgewater or Bortles.

I'm going with Clowney...and I'm not a fan of trading down. That is so overrated to me, every fan base (literally every single one.) says "We need to trade down." because the thought is that you can get more quality players...but there is a risk to that too. Quality over Quantity and all.

Agree! But not sure how much a week or two will sway the votes here and there.

With 11 picks as is, wouldn't trading for more picks cut into our cap space?

We're strapped for cash as usual, what are we looking at next year?

I've read online we'll be in the 40 mil range next offseason, is that enough for Watt and Jackson extensions? I don't really know much about the salary cap

Do you like quality over quantity when it comes to sacks...??? Because Clowney only had 3. And he only had 8 in his 1st year. I understand that trading back is overrated to you but to some of us drafting a player #1 overall who really only had one good year is overrated as well and more of a risk than trading back.

Voted Manziel because it would be a lot of fun; years of passionate living and dying, a player the city would be totally committed to and along with Watt, national identity for the team.

I would be happy with Clowney, paired with Watt he would be a terror and I love it when my team is constantly knocking down the opposing QB. I was a big fan of The Doomsday Defense when I was a kid.

    One good year... Lol

    Only 8 sacks... Ha

Anyways. You can stop pretending taking clowney is done insane proposition because the consensus is that he should be the pick UNLESS BOB really likes one of these QBs
