The ejection was warranted, in my opinion. After Artest got the first technical, he wasn't cooling down. He was still yapping and pointing at Kobe Bryant. In that situation, with a player as unstable as Ron, you don't let things escalate further.

Let's be creative. I bet the league comes up with something like Ron trying to escalate or provoke violence. This is the NBA we're talking about.
Ron overreacted but he should of just gotten 1 technical foul. You can't lose your composure like he did with the game only down 9. Now if we were down by double digits then yeah. And send a message
This is what needs and should happen: 1) Fisher suspended for next game 2) Kobe fined 3) Joey Crawford fired from the league 4) Sasha Fierce given a volume Ron was backing away from the play while Joey the Witch was pushing him and Ron was only showing by action how Kobe elbowed him. That was no reason to be ejected when the man is on the other side of the court and backing away. A technical at worse, but ejection is paramount to game fixing. Crawford also called all three of those quick fouls against Yao in the first half. I would love for a player to just smack the crap out of Joey. Ron paid his due for the Detroit fight....he should NOT continue to be penalized for it.
What a great interview by Ron Artest. Telling it how it is, very level and focused. I hope we find a way to keep this guy around
Wasnt ron ejected BEFORE the gesture?? I'm sure i heard collins call the ejection before ron did it.... i cant completely blame the refs on this one because they always tend to start ejecting guys when the game gets like this, flagarants, techs etc. They have a short fuse after that. It would have been interesting to see if they threw kobe out as well though if he would have talked back to Ron and stepped up also... i dont see ron getting suspended at all, the league will see ron didnt do anything other than talk....Kobe wont get suspeneded either, maybe a fine if possible? Fisher wont get anything else either.
That's crazy as hell! But probably true. On a related note - that was the most composed, most compelling case I've heard from anyone about getting fouled, talking to the refs and receiving no redress for his grievances. The league is going to have to examine the tape, especially with Ron spelling out what Kobe was getting away with. (Then again, I just might be naive.)
artest should learn to control himself on the floor. you can't get hurt from opponents and refs twice.
Yes, Ron's interview, there was nothing wrong in what in said. The first segment is better than the second though.
