Yes. I wish Yao was a dirty player who pulled regular cheap shots on other guys and never gets caught and thinks he's above the rules and the law. That would really make me respect and admire him and want to support the team.

Refs are full of BS. They caught the wrong person and they better make it for it.

They won't. The NBA is a business, not an actual league with rules.

I know the box score says that Ron only got one technical foul, but I thought I counted two when everything was going down and I thought that Kobe shot two free throws although we only saw part of the first one. The first technical was for complaining to the referees about Kobe's cheap shot. Bill Spooner didn't want to hear it and felt it was showing up the referees. Then the second technical was for making that gesture showing how Kobe elbowed him in the throat but that Joey Crawford took for a violent gesture.

LOL Don't listen to DD he doesn't like Ron :D :D . But seriously he got ejected because he did the slit to the throat gesture. The technical had nothing to do with it. Once he did the slit to the throat that was it. Im glad he left the court quickly though. I just hope guys don't really look to much into this. This is playoff basketball

It would be a shame if either team gets a win because a key player to the team isn't on the court. Then again this is the NBA and guys should be responsible for their actions. If you can't do the time don't do the crime

I think Kobe is just asking for the Rockets to "foul" him hard at this point.

Slit the throat? You mean the "he elbowed me in the throat" gesture that Ron did 9 times in that moment?

and i am going to disagree with you (and im not sorry :D ) any other player would be suspended for this next game....wht he did in the first game was suspect.....but this dirty play was clearly flagrant....kobe threw a bow to artests neck and should have been ejected and suspended for this next game....wht do you think they would have done if artest did the same thing...if kobe isnt suspended i will loose all respect for the NBA....and kobe is the dirtiest and most arrogant player in the league today....i wish i could sock tht smug little twerpy grin off his punk a$$ face

Joey Crawford got the impression that he was slicing his throat not throwing an elbow

I'm pretty sure that techinical fouls are an official stat that have to be recorded and tracked for disciplinary purposes - if it only says he got one than he only got one.

The problem was that the refs didn't call the first one on him for complaining about the elbow - if that conduct rose to the level of a technical foul, then assess it. If they had then either he would have cooled it or the rockets would have grabbed him and calmed him down before he had a chance to pick up the 2nd tech.

Instead they let him go on and then decided to give the "Super-Technical" consisting of a T plus Eject - that's bullsh-t in my opinion and not the way the rules go.

You've been here since 2002 so I got to believe you are a real Rockets fan. SO maybe I can chalk this up to you not watching the game enough. SO let me give you an awakening. Kobe is a dirty player. He hasbeen for a long time and probably always will be.

There is a difference between being tough and being dirty. Artest is tough Kobe might even be a little tough but dirty is a different game and Kobe goes there whenever he needs. He does it sneaky and cries when he gets caught on that rare occasion.

He doesn't just play dirty. He plays dirty in ways the refs can't really see and loves it when what happen to Artest (getting called for a foul when Kobe was the instigator).

In addition his team is full of his handpicked cronies who will play dirty for him when he can not.

That's the way the Lakers have played for a while. And I do not expect anything less of him and no matter how a talent he is I will never respect the punkass rapist b**** that he is... Yes he did rape that girl make no mistake about it. And he got away with it just like he is getting away with it just like he is getting away with his spineless dirty play on the court.

Is that Richard Justice posting? Because he used the same "throat slitting" description in his blog this morning.

Oh please! You want to b**** and whine over this psycho's stupidity, then by all means go bleat to your heart's content. But what Kobe did is no different from what I've seen Mutumbo and many others do hundreds of times. It was Artest who initiated the contact in order to physically "intimidate" Bryant. When that didn't happen he runs crying to the refs: "He hit me in my throat". He was told to back off. So what does he do? Why he then runs over to Kobe and starts jawing in his face like that's supposed to "scare" Bryant. Then he refuses to back away AGAIN when told to do so by the officials and kept it up even jawing at the officials. That's what go his a$$ tossed.

Should he had been tossed? No and even KOBE said so after the game. But he kept on and on, challenged the officials and refused to back away and that's why he was tossed. After the Fisher flagrant-2 on Scola, anyone with a brain stem (which excludes Artest) had to know that the officials were not about to let the game get out of hand.

Oh and by the way, instead of whining at Kobe about his so-called "dirty" play, you guys should be sending a tape of this game to Me-Mac so he can see just how a "superstar" is supposed to play in the playoffs.

You dont think Kobe's was premeditated? Kobe accidentally threw a forceful elbow at ron?

Its not like he was bringing in a rebound.... The guy reared forward and then swung the elbow back to make it more forceful.

The "throat slitting gesture" you are referring to was actually a "he elbowed me in the throat gesture"...but good try.

    Rack em.

Why do this? It would just be collecting dust with all the other tapes that have been sent to him. These tapes would only be useful to McGrady once he got into the 2nd round, if that ever occurs.
