http://www.reuters.com/article/sportsNews/idUSL3093534920080430 If the Spanish League holds out on paying and FIBA puts pressure on Stern to release Garbajosa for the Olympics. Perhaps they'll let him go to whoever is willing to pay for the insurance? It sounds similiar to when Morey said that he wasn't going to release Spanoulis from his contract no matter what... Head+Hayes+$1M in cash considerations for Garbajosa? PF: Scola, Garbajosa C: Yao, Landry
How about S&T for Ben Gordon? Use BJ+Lhead's expired contracts + a couple of draft picks for Ben Gordon or Mike miller. Then find an old unemployed backup pg. Rockects are good enough to win it all.
If we are going to get crazy here..... TMac to Charlotte for Jason Richardson and Gerald Wallace. (This makes Battier expendable). Battier for Travis Outlaw and Jarret Jack. Midseason trade Jackson expiring + Head + 1st rounder for Mike Miller Sign Kurt Thomas for MLE Sign Landry for LLE Lineup: PG: Rafer / Jack / Brooks SG: Richardson / Miller SF: Wallace / Outlaw / Novak PF: Scola / Landry C: Yao / Thomas Not that any of these deals will happen, but that is a solid deep team.
I'm just going to throw some trades out here, regardless of how likely they are. Let's face it, most trades that actually happen are head scratchers at first anyway. That said, I'm not suggesting any highway robberies like the Gasol giveaway. - Clippers get 7 million in expiring contracts. - Rockets get a 6th Man type perimeter player who can score big when needed. - Grizzlies get 7 million in expiring contracts and an inexpensive, good low post rebounder/defender. - Rockets get that "3rd guy" to pick up the scoring load. Absolutely incredible shooter. - Heat get 6 million in an expiring contract and an inexpensive, good low post rebounder/defender. - Rockets get a capable, big, back up for Yao. - Nets get 6 million in an expiring contract (to help with their bid for LeBron?) and a glue guy in Battier (something they've been missing?). - Rockets get their "3rd" guy who can step in and be the leading scorer on any given night when needed. *Look at Salmons' game logs in December, January, and February, when he was playing in Artest's place. I love Battier, but Salmon's would fit this team's needs much better, in my opinion.
Wow all the trades I suggest get reposted. I said meh at the end of the post because I knew they were a pipe dream.
My trade-- Entire Houston Rockets Roster for the Rights for the Knicks Dancers! The more women The Better!!
TMac for Redd and Villanueva in Milwaukee. Then attempt a package for Mike Miller and Kyle Lowry wither either Shane or Jackson going out. This would give us three legit scoring threats and the ability to better withstand Yao being injured for any length of time.
I'd do it if they included Josh Powell/Quinton Ross or if they add their 08 2nd with Dorsey/Lawson/Lee still availible.
Yao, Hayes and Rafer for Monta Ellis, Stephen Jackson, Andris Biedrins and Al Harrington. Monta Ellis/Brooks Tmac/Francis Battier/Stephen Jackson Al Harrington/Scola/Landry/Novak Andris Biedrins/Deke/Scola
WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!??! THATS A NIGHTMARE TEAM ROFL...the simple fact that you are happy with rafer being the starting PG, when TMAC is gone rafer's flaws really start to flow tracy gets more asst then rafer anyways
Its been posted before but I really like this trade: Tmac + 1st rd pick for Matrix + 1st rd pick (assuming they have the 1st pick overall- Derrick Rose)
heres a better idea, in fact in my opinion MUCH better: bobby jackson luther head aaron brooks/or our 1st pick cash for corey maggette opinions?
but what are the chances of memphis letting go of miller? I don't think they'd get fleeced again after that gasol trade... either way lets go hard for miller! I'd suggest bobby jackson (6 million) chuck hayes (2 Million) luther head (1 million) a future pick for Mike Miller!!!(9 million)
