The spurs have a real problem: it's their first misstep in years

I can believe that because the dude seems to gain 10lbs weekly.

If I were going to put money on this series I would still put it on the Spurs.

I'm not sure what the point of this bump was but the Spurs actually have some nice young players in Murray, Slow Mo and a guy overseas in Nikola Milutinov. They will be fine

 

if it wasn't for oakland, houston, toronto, and the celtics, the san antonios might actually have a chance at the ship

 

This team could miss the playoffs.

 

The Spurs are old...i know it sounds kinda funny cause everyone is saying this by years, but at some point guys like Parker, Manu and Pau will not be able to really make enough difference, and that point seems to be today, they're all 35/40...LMA is still a very good player but by himself he's just not good enough to make them contenders, nothing surprising here imo, without Kawhi they're a decent/good team, nothing more as today.

 

Forbes is good. not sure why he's not getting more minutes. too small?

 

Considering that the spurs are aging, the lack of star attraction and help they have failed to provide for kawhi. I would say it was a misstep.

 

Kawhi has been consistently out of the lineup for pretty much the entire season, and they're 37-29, with him poised to come back later this week.

Even if they do miss the playoffs, it's not totally because they're too old or that they suck. Just unfortunate that their best player is unavailable, in a stacked conference.

 

They will be tied in 9th with the jazz and Denver after they lose tomorrow. Only team I give them a win is against Orlando but rest of this months games they could lose them all if they keep playing like they did against gs and losing in the 4th qtrs.

They have lost a couple of games having the lead in the 4th.

So it looks bad for them unless Kawhi comes and is integrated quickly and smoothly. I think it would take 5 or 7 games for him to get back into game shape. He could take less time to get into his rhythm but who knows.

Maybe their plan all along was to get the 9th seed and face us in the playoffs. Silly Pop thinks he can do the same thing as last year and shut us down.

I think 5 championships are enough for them for now.
