He hasn't quite hit 50 field goal attempts in any game, but we all know it's coming. Westbrook might go down as the most ridiculous chucker of the modern era.

Its not like he's shooting a terrible %, and he's leagues leading scorer at this point. Just passed Harden.

I'm not impressed with Westbrook. Any star can get those numbers with how many shot attempts he's getting. Harden & Curry do way better with less

If WB only had a brain to back up the intensity at which he plays the game, he would be the MVP in my book.

The guy is amazing, but his chucking has not lead to many wins though so I'm cooling on his MVP chances.

If he would pick his spots better offensively he'd be much more unpredictable and way more efficient offensively.

Its not just his own %, the TEAM percentage suffers because of it. Iverson, Melo and Star bury also had decent individual percentages, but because they were iso-ing the ball instead of moving it, the rest of the team suffers. In an ideal scenario the team FG% would be higher than your superstar because although your superstar would be the focus of the opponent defense he would generate good looks for the role players on his squad, for example when Harden hits Smith for an open 3 or DMO form the hook shot, you'd expect those shots to go in most of the time. In this case WB takes so many shots he's basically the team, you can ignore the 4 other guys on the court and just defend WB with 5 people, that's how many shots WB is taking. Normally a typical superstar should be letting opponents pay by hitting up his teammates but not WB, he goes hero ball all day every day, 1-on-5 is easy mode to him.

But, but, but according to Hardenhardon and Tmac_1 WB is leading his team to victory despite OKC having a losing record when WB ball hogs and scores 35 pts on ridiculous attempts. He da real MVP, and the leagues best player!

I've noticed with Harden and Westbrook most of their rebounds are not contested. Harden in particular does not strike me as an excellent rebounder but still puts up good numbers for his position. Stars' teammates may box out to make it easier for them to get the rebound but will always cede the ball. This makes triple-doubles largely irrelevant.

The dude is also averaging 12-13 rebounds during this stretch. And has averaged 9 boards for the past month and a half. Dude is ridiculous.

What a lot of people, and esp. myself, are impressed with is simply his INSANE drive and passion every night. Nobody can do what he has done for this long stretch on both ends. It's simply not human.

Harden and Curry don't have to expend as much energy defensively (they have defensive stoppers on their team who takes the best player), nor does Lebron for the better part of the season.

WB's intensity level is 200% every game.

    Dont be so salty bro.

Harden himself had 7 TOs with his triple double two days ago.

Russell is a top 5 player guys arguably the 3rd best after Durant and Lebron. Stop discrediting his achievements.

30 points and 17 assists is just insane. Must be nice to have team mates who can hit an open shot!

I swear Harden would be top five in assists if our guys could finish at the rim and hit open shots consistently.

Westbrook killing it right now though. His team record shouldn't put him in the MVP discussion, but lets enjoy the nasty.
