Agreed. I don't know if a 6'7"/300 pounds player can be a superstar in the NBA.

No, I think while those rooks will have their good games, the teams they play for may or may not sneak into the 8th playoff spot, whereas we will probably win at least 50 games, get into the playoffs, most likely beat the first or even the second round opponent, then get our hearts broken again by the Warriors. Rinse and repeat. :(

So Zion and Ja in the west, Lakers with 4th pick and possibly Kawhi and Jimmy Butler going west as well to a already star heavy conference. Sounds great.

While true in theory, I'd take exception to 2 players on this list.

Lebron James shouldn't count as he signed back with Cavs at this point. The draft had nothing to do with it. You might make a case that he would have never thought about coming back to CLE if it weren't for being drafted there.... but I think it was because it's his home team.. not because he was drafted there.

I don't feel like Pierce really counts either as it was the acquisitions of KG and Ray that turned them into a title team. Pierce at that point had already developed into the best player he could be and wasn't the main impact to winning them the title. I compare this differently to Wade who had a true impact when MIA acquired Shaq.

Can the Pelicans win a Championship?

    Will Adam Silver allow this?

Will a small market team allow this?

Can they spend Max to keep Zion and Davis?

Can they spend on role players or know how to draft?

    You haven’t heard?

    Jimmy is a rocket lol

I’m not worried about some rookies.

They all might be superstars/face of the league soon but that won’t be for 5 years or so.

You’re correct. Generally speaking, players that shift violently laterally don’t last very long.

I really hope the bucks find a way to beat them, so this weak narrative can be done with...

    Those guys are frauds anyway.

Harden is the guy THEY will have to go through. Not the other way around. THEY'RE the ones trying to solve this puzzle. & the amazing thing about James is that he will change the way the puzzle is laid out if they get too close to the solution.

Bryant doesn't count and I'm amazed you can't spell the name of the best player in NBA history, but this is interesting nonetheless. I don't agree that this has to stay the way it is in the future, but it's interesting to think about.

Probably the advantage of accumulating assets while your home grown star is on a rookie scale deal makes a longer term difference than I expected.

Well, is Zion going to be better than AD? If yes, how long?

Pelican will continue to s**k as a organisation.

    Harden can last that long.
