perhaps, but even otherwise i just don't see where his upside is.....he just doesn't have the elite quickness or hops to consistently get separation or get by him man in order to be The Man on a team (imo)
Not sure I care. The big one is the Toronto pick and is gone no matter what. The Mavs pick (protected top 20 for 5 years, then unprotected) is likely also gone. These are givens. The other pickswill have to be a "first available pick" from the Rockets (after satisfying the Nets pick owed) and won't be for years due to the Stepien Rule. More important, the Rockets will still have plenty of young guys (Harden himself is only 23), including 3 rookies from this year (DMo, White, Jones), Lin, Asik, Morris, Pat, etc so it's not like the roster is rapidly aging without renewal.

I think they probably get Toronto's pick and most likely the Mavs pick. OKC doesn't trade Cole and Harden for Martin and Lamb without some real kicker picks.
Probably gonna cut Aldridge or make him 3rd-String Center. I'm not sure if giving Lamb away was a great choice unless Harden shows he is still a great player.
Great trade for the Rockets and great trade for the Lakers. You would think Harden+Perkins would have been enough to get Dwight looks like they decided to trade him to late.
Unbelievable. After all the craziness this offseason it comes down to a week before the season starts. Definitely a gamble if we are giving up that Toronto pick and going to give Harden a near max contract, but Morey's nuts are on the dresser so it has to be done. Hope Harden can carry the load and play more like he did in that San Antonio series as opposed to the Finals.
