Murray has learned his lessons and stopped referring to players as "ass-ets". Now they're trade exceptions. >_<
Hmmm... I wonder if the Rocket can induce the Knicks to waive Melo by agreeing to eat Courtney Lee's contract with the Non-Guaranteed contracts.
Also this is very important because they CAN be added to another player. For instance, they can trade Ryan Anderson plus all of those non-guaranteed guys for what amounts to ~$30 million.
Morey basically circumvent the rules and made his own damn TPE. He probably used the term just for the simplicity instead of having to explain it
Each one is different, but the Kelley contract gives the most urgency. Kelley - July 7 Long - Sept 26 Taylor - Season start Quarterman - Jan 10
BWAAAAAAA HAAAAAA HAAAAAA. As you so eloquently stated. "Stop acting like you have something figured out"
He will likely be waived if he is still on the roster on 7/7. Unless they actually like him as a player which is unlikely.
Umm those dominoes will have already fallen. Guaranteed. The suitors for PG are players in FA as well so there will be some preliminary agreements.
Can someone please tell me if this has been done before? If I am not mistaken Morey was also the first to do the contract that has the signing kicker or whatever it was correct? Morey may be a little clever. (SEVERE understatement)
He used cash to sign non-guaranteed contracts. I'm sure that's been done before; afterall, the new CBA disallows this "TPE" now, by not giving non-guaranteed contracts any value in trade, for salary-matching purposes. So, he'll be the last to do it. Now, maybe he's the first to turn $3.5m in cash to that large of a "TPE." What seems to be unique is getting this all done before July 1st, so he can go over the cap to get his full MLE and BAE and these "TPE"s right under the window. He barely made it over the cap.
Morey the magician. Dude is the best at manipulating the salary cap. Not only does he get cp3 for 11 mil Less before FA begins but also gets the Rockets the mid level 8+ mil the 3+ m and now 10+ m in non gaurentee contracts. At worst the Rockets should be able to bring back nene and add two rotation guys. Honestly if melo gets bought out adding him for the mid level bring back nene for the 3.3 m and then trading the tpe contracts for a serviceable forward? That's a team that might be better than getting rid of assets for paul George. Cp3 Harden Ariza Melo Capela Gordon Anderson Nene Tpe player. That roster looks like it could beat the Warriors. I'm with Morey MDA harden and cp3 approach. Your defense needs to be disciplined but not elite you have to score a lot and efficiently to beat golden state that's the only way. You can't defend them you just have to have a team they can't defend either.
