    Scola was actually playing fairly well, if a bit inconsistently, before Gentry moved him to the bench so Gortat would quit whining about not getting enough touches in the post.

    No offense to Scola, but his fall-off was WAY too foreseeable back when he was re-signed (and the Rockets are still paying a lot of that deal, IIRC, it's just off the cap, IIRC). It was an uncharacteristically bad contract by Morey standards.

    Also, let this be a lesson to anybody who breaks out the "well, so-and-so is not that athletic anyway, so as he goes into his 30's he probably won't decline that much" argument - it's just pretty much an alltime loser.

    As a Laker fan, I can tell you Jordan Hill is a victim of D'Antoni's 7 man only rotation mentality where the only non-starters that get spin are chuckers. And Pau is a victim of every coach since Phil Jackson forcing him to play out of position.

    And Marcus Camby probably banged Woodson's wife :grin:

    ...and having coached him in NY, D'Antoni may in fact be privy to knowledge as to the fact that Jordan - THE MAN - Hill kind of stinks at basketball.

    The only guy who is really not as effective as he was here is Chuck. Scola's decline was expected and everyone else is playing well, given their new roles. Also, KMart is obviously beasting (at a historic level) as the complementary scorer we brought him here to be.

    dragic's team may be doing poorly but he has been playing better than ever... really missing him now

    he is averaging 15 and 6.5 with a ts% of 58%
    very efficient player and proving it on the suns
