There has to be away to put Harden and Lin in situations that they can succeed in. Obviously they both have talent its the job of McHale to put them in position to succeed.
People's ignorance is truly remarkable to behold, isn't it? 15-10 is a stat line that not even Rajon Rondo — you know, the guy that some nobody named Magic Johnson thinks is the best PG in the league right now — has averaged yet. 15-10 would put Lin in the company of Chris Paul and Deron Williams. I think it's just a bunch of couch potato jocks who play too much video game basketball and have no concept of reality-based basketball.
congrats lin. you are one of us! you are one of us! now coaches, work on adding another set to that napkin.
Because this subject comes up fairly often, I've actually looked up these stats. Chris Paul averaged a double/double 3 out of 8 years (basketballreference); Last time was 3 years ago. I believe not a single PG averaged a double/double last year.
that's simply because you are even worse then a fool, you stupid SOB. Go f**k yourself, f**king b*stard
Didn't Nash average a double double last year. Yes he did. 13 points & 11 assists. People need to manage there expectations. 15 & 10 is superstar numbers & Lin would be getting paid slave money if he averaged 15 & 10 this season. Be realistic. Just a thought.
Yes it would. With a 15-10 statline, Lin would be one of the most elite pass-first PGs in the league. To put it into perspective, Rondo averaged about 12-12 last season. His best scoring season was 2009-2010 when he averaged about 14-10. 15-10 is very close to Steve Nash's numbers when he won his first MVP award. You're being ridiculous with your expectations. People at Lin's pay level (the Mo Williamses and Mike Conleys and George Hills of the NBA) average nowhere near 15-10 for a whole season.
uh...now this is a embarrassing.. There is a dude in this thread who would like to disagree with you about the Rockets 50 Point Club http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=5262700&postcount=1
Actually to solve a lot of conflict, we should have a poll that states our expectations for Jeremy Lin. For myself, for $5 million this year, I would like him to get: 32 mpg, 16 points, 8 assists and 1 steal as an average. And keep his TOs to around 2. That way, we can measure every game and say if he met our standards or not, thereby eliminating all these arguments about whether he's overpaid, a scrub or a star. Cos at this point, the arguments are so subjective and pointless with the standards for Lin moved back and forth to support the posters' biases.
I think some fans just forget what point guards are supposed to do. I guess they see rose and think the pg automatically should average 25 points. 16 and 8 would be great by the time he is 25. Kid sees the floor very well.asik needs to start dunking those passes.
Rockets would be making out like bandits if Lin played at that level for only $5 mil. Absolute bandits.
