Yeap, the potential is there. Moneyball says Lin is just as athletic as any NBA PG, even though the eye test does not. His athleticism stats coming out of college are on par with Steve Francis, who as you can see is part of the 38/7 club. This is all making sense now.

    From Weiland in 2010:

I'd consider him a success if he averaged 15 points/10 assists, and had fewer than 4 turnovers per game. That would mean money well spent. This whole thing is nice, but we still lost the damn game.

Wow, those are elite PG numbers. I don't think even Rondo got those stats last year. Your expectations are just way too high considering Lin is getting paid an average starting PG salary.

Tinman, Why was Harden's 39 and 9 against the Mavericks not included in the list?

Is that with the Rockets? I don't care about the Knicks.

Blame it on the basketball-reference.com search.

Update: I've updated it. the query included Lin and Harden this time. Must been some lag time on the db.

He's also the first guy to play exactly 46:34 while blinking 1434 times and taking 7581 steps on the floor ever!!!

You DO realize that those are pretty much Steve Nash's numbers in his first MVP year?

    This is getting ridiculous.

Harden played 46 minutes. The stat query called for 45 mins or less.
