My prediction before the season started was that the rockets would end up being 8th-10th in the west, if they play with their full energy (without the X-factor in Tmac). This pridiction has not be changed ever since. But now i want to see how the x-factor turns out to be. otherwise the season is too boring.
since when was .500 with a tough schedule and a bunch of scrub starters a bad thing? Remember we got our No-Stat-All-Star playing only roughly 25 minutes a game, another starter still learning how to shoot and dribble, a PG leading the league pretty much in turnovers...I mean I know Im bashing the players a little but I love the team and think even though they are struggling its still really nice to see them develop. 8-8 for a scrub team, man, I'll take that anyday to be honest. The only legit starters we have that would start for a good team are Scola and Ariza...
I expected Houston to start strong and they have. As other teams settle and coaches get a good look at the team the wins will stabilize. Team's played great, not sure what more you could expect from them. It's a borderline playoff team. As many have said worst case scenario is limping into the playoffs and losing in the first round. The lone wildcard has been and has always been some kind of miracle recovery by Tmac or a miracle trade a la garnett or gasol. Not likely but I'm sure Morey has been hatching his plan for 6 months, whatever it may be. For me the team is still fun to watch so w/e.
Hmm, I'm going out on a limb and saying that with or without Tmac we're either better or worse than a .500 ball club ...but either way we're no where close to a championship contender... I don't know what people expected...this is who we are w/o Tmac and Yao.
