We have the assets. 2 of our 1st rounders should do it.

Now, if only we had a big, pointless salary that can match Covington... perhaps a contract like Brandon Knight. If only that kind of expiring were available for the Rockets

We should keep Capela and our firsts.
We should try to trade a combination of iHart, Clemons, Clark, Nene's contract, Thabo, and our 2nd round picks for a contributing wing (Marvin Williams, Torrey Craig).

Would love to see if we could get Ariza back, but we don't have anything to match his contract.

Capela is nearly untouchable......15/15 is huge with how little he gets the ball.

I've seen nothing whatsoever from Hartenstein that tells me he's anything but a 3rd-stringer at this point. Backup at best.

When "he tries hard" is a player's best asset, he's not starter material.

We REALLY need a new/rep system on this forum. This is an incredibly stupid post.

Lmao @ Clint AND a pick for scrub @ss Covington. Let’s make an already small team smaller. Let’s add a net negative player that can’t dribble or pass and too short and skinny to add any real value defensively without rim protector next him. Let’s trade our best rebounder having a career year. Let’s trade a younger player for an older one. What a great idea.

Playoff basketball: Who is more valuable?

    Clint Capela or Robert Covington?

Who does Mike consistently bench in the playoffs? :p

That and he’s the only rim protector we have that gets minutes. You can’t have turnstile on the perimeter and a red carpet to the hoop.

We can trade either Rivers or McLemore too, and we must. Once Gordon is back, it is idiotic to have WB, Harden, Godon, McLemore, Rivers and Clemons while our big wing/forward rotation is probably worst in the NBA.

Hopefully McLemore. Nice find for sure, but to be honest I'd rather have Rivers' better defense in exchange for McLemore's better shooting (since the team needs way more defensive than offensive improvement). Not to mention Rivers took a pay-cut to stay, that kind of loyalty always shows up in tough times.

That couple million of salary filler is so needed right now.

Such a shame there will be so many sellers this deadline, where we could get a substantial upgrade for minimal cost, Love, LMA, Covington, etc.

But no, we dumped all our trade filler to duck the tax and we wasted all of our picks on this silly Westbrook trade.

Its not like we have the greatest offensive player ever, and the huge hurdle of Warriors are no longer in place. I mean its not like a wide open field for the championship this year. I am sure we will have numerous other chances like this.

    ****ing dumbass TIlman.

I remember last year. There actually were people defending the Shumpert trade. I still laugh about that.

    And then I cry.

Let’s see how Gordon returns before we start making these decisions. Mclemore was the only player who could hit a perimeter shot against San Antonio

would you be investin an additional money in a game of poker you know is rigged for you not to win?
and you lost 2 previous sessions not because you had weaker cards but because it was rigged?

We lost in 2017 because we went 0 - 27 from 3 point range. Nothing “rigged” about it.

The 0-27 is a myth though. They waived off and-1 3's and didn't call obvious fouls.

They obviously didn't shoot well but it should have been much better. Easily had 10 or so points wiped off the board.

wasn't Westbrook okay with Harden being traded for much much less?
