    I was thinking about what the worst possible pickup for the Rockets would be, and JR Smith came to mind pretty quickly. I see this as throwing in the towel on the season if this move happens and I'll look forward to fully embracing the tank job.

    Trade for JR. Convince Melo to comeback with promises of 20+ FGA per game. Rest CP3 the remainder of the season.

    Give a lot of minutes to

    MCW
    JR
    Melo
    Clark
    Hart

    That lineup will get us the high pick and get some experience for the young guys.

    If a first round pick is stapled to Brandon, then the protections will be pretty heavy. Might attach Hartenstein or 2nd rounders instead.

    Smith's value is as a semi-expiring for a third team.
