Harden doesn't really have a bursty first step or much of a back to the basket game at all, from what I've seen, so not sure how successful that would be for him.

Eddie Johnson begs to differ. Heard him argue with Tim McMahon of ESPN on NBA Sirius XM radio. Dang he hates James Harden. Credit Tim for sticking with his guns and defending the Rockets. Maybe he's bitter because James passed him on the all-time scoring list. Lol.

I feel like saying "it will require WB to knock down his shots" is the same as saying "it will require Chris Clemons to grow 12 inches". It's pretty unlikely.

yeah should have clrified.. WB steps up by attacking smartly dropping the ball to clint etc or kicking out to pj, austin, ben, thabo, clemons. they need to make their shots and clint needs to dunk the ball

Yeah, Eddie is always talking **** about Harden. There's definitely some jealousy going on there.

I understand many people here think I overly criticize Harden but I searously think a lot of the issues he has with the Bucks and more specifically Denver the other night was that when he gets the ball or dribbles up court with the ball he will often be stationary for 3-6 seconds waiting for the defense to get set and make a decision to double and adjust their defense according the double which often doesn't lead to the greatest pass out of the double and into a player in a bad position.

What he instead should do is make the quick decision before the defense sets and have the defense bring in a help defender AFTER he makes his move attacking the rim which doesn't allow for the defense to be properly positioned to probably defend with a double which will have a higher propability of having a teammate in a comfortable ideal position such as Capella running to the rim open or Tucker in the corner.

Often when Harden holds onto the ball and allows the defense to be set and adjust their positions to defend with the double leads to a player like Maclamore or Tucker in a awkward postion such as around the free throw line where they are kinda open but are not used to taking those open mid range shots and often go for a awkward floater they aren't good at.

Notice what Denver did when they doubled Harden at the top of the 3 pt line when he allowed them to set their defense. Notice where the 3 other defenders who are guarding the other four Rockets are doing. They specifically defend the perimeter and the paint and allow free reign in the mid range where they know those 4 Rockets are uncomfortable operating in. Then one of Harden's teammates will be forced to run in the area Denver allows to give up because they have to give Harden a open passing lane to get the ball out of the double team.

Harden is essentially allowing the opposing defense control the offense when he holds onto the ball and allows defense to set up their double teams in the way they know works rather than being out of place allowing for more mistakes that free up Rocket offensive players in positions they are comfortable with.

There's something wrong with you dude. And there's still something wrong with you even if you are playing a shtick and dedicating so much time on a comedy shtick on a basketball message board.

if Morey, MDA, Nick Wright will list what went wrong with the last game will it all be blamed on Harden?

And do I have to quote you boasting you'd rather trade Harden for Lowry and Lin is your saving grace?

Harden isnt the problem on this team.

It is what is surrounding Harden that is the problem.

You are nitpicking on Harden when you can get a lot more return if you improve the other parts.

If the teams are consistently double teaming him and getting the ball out his hands like Clippers are right now even though they have 2 of the best perimeter defenders in the league (that's your clue right there that Harden isn't the problem), and Harden is consistently making the right plays by passing out of ht double team and giving teammates open looks, he is doing just fine.

Where did I say he is THE problem? I'm discussing a way Harden can escape the double team. Stop being so offended.

You are nitpicking on the the player that is pretty much carrying the team and wrote an essay to justify why you have a history of nitpicking on him....because you were offended for being called on it.

I am not the one offended lol.

PS. There are plenty of holes in your "scheme" to beat the double teams. It is not as simple as you make it out to be.
