I don't doubt that last years Rockets (or Warriors or most good teams) would have obliterated most of the 1990's teams, including Jordan's Bulls behind a barrage of 3 pointers and zone defenses. Remember the iconic Jordan 30 foot thee pointer against Portland? The kind that Eric Gordon now regularly takes?

Magic iron hand checks would not have helped.

That said, Jordan never had to face an adversary like the Warriors or anything close with a reigning MVP added to a 70-win team.

Like, take the 90's Jazz and swap out Jeff Hornacek and Greg Ostertag for David Robinson and Mitch Richmond...maybe that would have been a similar endeavour.

    Are you crazy?

Scottie Pippen Hall of Famer, elite defender, Ron Harper used to be a 19 ppg scorer on the Clippers and guarded smaller quicker guards as 6'6 point guard, off the bench Toni Kukoc a better version than Gallinari.
Dennis Rodman a Hall of Famer can laterally defend guards, elite rebounder, annoyance on defense.

I don't have time to read everything but this won't define anything. Houston is the underdog, the refs scandal, and the fact there's still a window regardless of this bs series. Even w/o the refs it's all star team vs 1.5 stars

And prime Rodman was better than any player on the Rockets beyond Harden and Paul.

They didn't have to worry about it because they were basically the Warriors. The only series I think that would have been awesome is 97 or even 98 if Barkley didn't bust his arm and they got through to the finals (assuming everything went like it did for the Jazz). That would have been an epic showdown between Chicago and Houston, an actual series instead of that Utah trash finals b2b

Rodman won 5 rings too... People forget his Bad Boy days - not saying you or others but just in general

Harden could have a decent run to 35 depending on adjustments, it just depends on him getting more help or not having a HOF team to go through.

at least with Harden there is a window. With Tmac.... There was a wall

But despite what happens in this series, harden will be considered a top 5 SG of all-time. So calm down

Most realize the odds were stacked against him. He and Paul will still go down as legends of this era, but yes, they will both be behind Durant and Curry. I don't think anyone really cares though. Even if he wins a title, he's not really gaining much ground on either. Think it feels important, when it's not really that important like it used to be.

Think the Warriors are vulnerable this year if someone can play a switching defense like we do. That seems to disrupt them.

This is big coming from you because your not an easy guy to convince. What makes you confident that Harden has heart?

Allright so we had CP Aka point god and that nickname tells all the story. We had prime EG that in other circumstances is 20+ ppg coming off the bench. We also had Trevor Ariza, PJ Tucker, Capela and LMM(while injuried). Ryan Anderson. Nene. That is stacked ass hell team

They had a 70 win team plus Kevin Durant.
