If JJ Watt broke into my house at 2am and hooked my nuts up to a car battery it might shock me. But maybe not.
Josh Gordon stepping away from football before they can give him another suspension. Dare I say I would rather play the Pats in the playoffs over many of the other teams??
I dunno, a part of me thinks the sterile playing conditions will give Brady (and Mahomes/Rivers) an easier go of it versus playing outdoors. Weird to say it, but it might be better to get them in the elements?!
he hasn't even done much for them. NE got edelman back so they won't be missing much without gordon regardless
This is also totally shocking. Who were the guys on this board who wanted the Texans to pick him up? Hated that NE did? Brady/Belichick will make him a star, they said?
From a pure football standpoint, he had some good games for the Patriots. Helped them win games. For instance, he had a 100 yard game when the Patriots beat the Bears by a touchdown. Scored in the games against Colts, Packers, and Vikings. He's helped them win games. NE took a chance on him and probably provided more than they expected.
Fair enough. Let me know how many TDs he has in the playoffs. That's Maxwell-level candyass quitting jakery.
The way I see it, if we win out we're locked into the 2 seed (regardless of what other teams do), UNLESS the Chargers also lose to the Broncos AND the Chiefs lose to the Raiders, in which case we take the 1 seed. In fact, if the Chargers lose today against Baltimore OR on the road to the Broncos, we would keep the 2 seed even if we lose the game in Philly as long as we beat the Jags next week. Check this out and you can run your own analysis: http://www.espn.com/nfl/playoffs/machine
Edit: To keep the 2 seed in the event that we lose tomorrow, we would need the Patriots to lose one more time this season. KC and the Chargers could still win out and it wouldn't matter as long as we beat the Jags and the Patriots lose at least once. OR, if we lose tomorrow and beat the Jags AND the Chargers and Chiefs lose out, we earn a bye even if the Patriots win out.
