Shawn Bradley became infamous because he was a 7'6 giant who was always getting dunked on by players far smaller than he was, to the point where popular sports news websites like Sports Center made a highlight reel of him getting dunked on. This in addition to being drafted no.2 overall, made him a target for mockery because on a superficial level getting dunked on is often equated with being bad.

The irony in all this of course, was the fact that Shawn Bradley was getting dunked on so much because he was contesting every shot, and he had fantastic shotblocking averages to support that. In fact, during his tenure in Dallas, his on/off defense rating stats were very noticeable. For example, in 2000-2001, they had a 96 defensive rating with him, and 109 defensive rating without him.

Shawn Bradley was definitely effective. He wasn't the most durable, nor did he live up up to his draft pick order, but every team in this league right now would be ecstatic if they had someone like him off the bench.

A much more apt comparison for an ineffective stiff is Hasheem Thabeet.

Zhou Qi is not a bust.

Greg Oden and Adam Morrison are 2 of the worse busts in NBA.

You need to at least play a game in the NBA to be called a bust.

Zhou Qi is just another scrub that like lots of NBA teams' wasted pick for some business purposes or silly gambles, who will never even play in the league and his draft right will be used in the coming years in some salary dump transactions only.

I wouldn't call injury proned players busts. Cause without those injuries, those two would have been good.
    Now Hasheem Thabeet.........

Brandon Roy and Michael Redd also ended their career prematurely because of injuries, but no one can blame injuries being the reason that they can't get into the HOF.

Injuries happen, shlt happens, everyone just need to deal with it.

By the same standard, Jadeveon Clowney is on pace becoming the worst bust in the sport history of this city.

Its all about expectation against performance, and attendance counts.

For sure. I actually got court side seats once and took the wife to a Mavs game. To really appreciate just how awful Shawn Bradley was as a player, one had to see him up close in person. He was amazingly bad and that's being kind. I have no idea who the hell SunsRocketsFan is describing.
