It was a good move to let him play as a wing which should smooth over the transition.

6 games in Ausar is shooting 6% on 2.7 attempts per game from the 3-point line. (and 37% from the field)

Hopefully Ausar's success inspires Amen to turn it up a notch once he is finally healthy. He has more potential than Ausar just needs to grind harder.

Ausar isn't doing anything different from what he was projected to do, he's just getting more opportunities to do so.

For context, he's been getting about twice as many minutes as Amen.

Detroit's pace is also 15 spots higher than Houston's.

Detroit also isn't as concerned with winning apparently. Like there is no way a serious team can start three non shooters in the year 2023.
And I'm being generous by not lumping Cade in that group.

I'm hoping both twins are successful after how dismissive some of the pre-draft criticism was. I think there will be constant comparisons between the two, but right now I'm not worried about which twin is better given how different the team environments are.

Detroit has also no real choice as Bogdanovic and Monte Morris are injured, two of their best shooters.

Ausar is balling out man. Hope Amen can do this too but so far he has done zero in the NBA.

I now know why Pistons are so bad, it's cuz they aren't using analytics. They have everyone taking mid range shots and nobody taking 3s. They're the team with most mid range shots taken and rank last in 3 PT attempts.

Next time you want one of the Rox to take more mid range shots, look at the Pistons.
