"Worked their way up?" Dude was a head coach for many years, and then fell into an asst. coach position. If he was so good, he'd be in demand for a vacant HC job each year.

You don't see coaches of Karl or Adelman's ilk wanting to an asst. coach hoping they could work their way up to a head coach position.

Gentry seriously isn't that good of a coach. Pels would be stupid to pick him.

I'll be the first to eat crow if McHale is fired before next season starts.

If the Warriors lose Green, that's a huge blow to their title chances next season and beyond. They won't have the ability to replace him since they'll still be over the cap and once the cap does go up in 2016, they'll have to worry about retaining Barnes and having enough left over in 2017 to re-sign Curry, Bogut, and Iggy(or replacing him).

Will the Warriors still be good without Green? Sure. But you don't let the runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year walk and think that you're not gonna experience any falloff from what they've done this season.

Which is why they'll probably bite the bullet and match whatever contract he signs and risk eating 50 mil in luxury tax if no one bails them out by taking Lee off their hands.

I think we can all say that Kerr has shown that preparation and a system (along with an MVP-caliber player like we have) can take an undisciplined, turnover-prone team like GSW was last year and take them to a higher level than just having the players learn through the school of hard knocks that can take multiple seasons.

That's the difference between McHale and prepared coaches -- they reduce the amount of mistakes by having a system and a philosophy that players will take very high percentage shots that matches their abilities. To have Josh Smith and T-Jones continuing to jack-up bad shots is inexcusable. By this time in their careers, they don't "learn" how to shoot better -- you learn to pass it to players like Harden who shoot better, and when you pass it, you don't throw it away. They are what they are.

Besides, with the amount of trading and cutting Morey does, some of the players who are "learning" through this agony will be playing somewhere else next year.

Listen. Dynasties aren't made with a group of players they're made with an organization. Stephen Curry is 27 years old. 2 years he's going to be reserved for a spot up shooter and the guys doing a lot of the dirty work are expecting to get PAID when their contracts are up (Draymond Green and Ezeli for starters)

Very difficult to beat them as they are too freakin stacked.
I think Cavs and Spurs at full strength will be able to beat them.

    Dynasty?

They have not won anything yet. Kyrie Irving gets to rest for the next few weeks and they are likely going to see Lebron and a team that actually has shooters you don't want to leave open.

And oh yeah, you get to see Lebron.

Next year, other teams in the West will get better and maybe they won't be so healthy. Calling this a dynasty is the definition of premature.

''We just can't quit on each other,'' Howard said. ''We've come too far. We've been through too many battles to just allow it to end like tonight ... we've just got to man up.'' - Howard

That's coming from a man that sat on the bench joking laughing while his team is behind by 30+pts LOL.

They could be a dynasty. But they're in a very similar situation to the Thunder 3 years ago. A young, up-and-coming team that could dominate for many years if a lot of things go right.

For starters, figuring out how to keep all of their players when they'll need to hand out huge extensions to almost every one of them over the next 3 offseasons(Green this summer, Barnes and Speights in 2016, and Curry, Bogut, and Iggy in 2017). The Thunder couldn't find the money to hang onto Durant, Westbrook, Harden, and Ibaka. They traded one of them away and haven't been back to the Finals since.

And secondly, staying healthy. The Thunder were very fortunate in 2012. Then Westbrook who'd never missed a game is lost to injury in the 2013 postseason and misses even more time the following year. This season, Durant goes down for more than 2/3 of the year and Ibaka is also lost to knee surgery in the last month and a half. OKC winds up in the lottery just 3 years after appearing in the Finals.

So let's just wait and see if they're a dynasty or even a championship team after they face the Cavs. Remember, 20 years ago, the Orlando Magic were considered the NBA's team of the future. How'd that work out?

To Dwight: "Make your FTs, man. It's way too discouraging to see you brick so many. If you had made a few in Game 2, maybe we would have won one game already."

It's over. This team is beat.

They don't even have any draft picks this year.

Meanwhile, OKC will be back among other teams. What are the odds that they once again don't have any big injuries next year?

The Warriors is just a much better team. Why people cannot just recognize that. You don't win 67 games for nothing, there were only five times team won more games in the history of the NBA.

You obviously didn't read the operative word in the subject: "emerging"

We would have won Games 1 and 2 if Dwight could hit some free throws
