    It works in Houston and Dallas because Lowry and Kidd are great defenders. From what I understand, Rubio's a terrible one.

    Actually one of Rubio's strengths is defense.

    A poor man's Rondo on defense if you will.

    Rubio once said that it's much easier for him to pass to NBA contributors than for european players cause they are much more aggressive, athletic, and they can catch almost anything you throw to them and the first scrimmages are just proving that

    About catching passes, twolves camp has jokes going on about getting to the face with a ball when rubio pass. see Kevin Love's interview:

    Rubio's defense is way better than Rubio's offense.

    Nice, considering his teammates all said they can't catch anything he passes to them.

    Yeah, and JVG said all of Spanoulis' passes in camp were hitting guys in the face. Look how much Van Gundy loved Spanoulis........

    I think OHMMS should stick around just so he can make me root for players again. I was on the Rubio overrated bandwagon since about the time he was drafted, but now I'm very interested to see how he does and will be a fan. Hope he does beast.

    True. Most NBA fans claim he is out of this world on offense and horrible on defense. That he is skilled and has no athletic ability. Shows how delusional they are and how they know nothing about basketball and nothing about Rubio.

    Rubio is good on defense and he is athletic. And his offense and skills are very lacking besides ball handling and passing.

    He's constantly referred to by people like jopatmc and DD here as 'the next Stevbe Nash", when he's actually much more like Rafer Alston.

    Didn't RA take over a year to get his system in place in Houston? It's a hard offense to learn. That first year, they stuck with JVG offense because they still had Yao and TMac and did some of the basic RA offense as well.

    If that's the case for Minny: shortened season = definitely not learning a new system. Old offense = only a few more wins than last year
