I'm watching the Penn State game today against Illinois. This is the second game I've seen them play this year. I figure I'll start to check out as many of these quarterbacks in live games as possible.

One thing that keeps jumping out to me, though, is defensive end Carl Nassib. Younger brother of Giants quarterback Ryan Nassib. He walked on to the Penn State team, gained some strength and weight, and now he's tearing it up. He's got a very high motor, just like JJ. He's listed at 6'7" 272 with a long wingspan to bat passes. 13.5 sacks through 8 games.

This kid is making himself some serious money this year. I have no idea where he's slotted to go in the draft, but I'm sure he's on O'Brien's radar.

    ESPN article about him...

Don't buy the Penn State hype.

Their offensive line is bad, which is why Hackenberg has struggled. Their skill players are young. They have a great quarterback who may or may not return next year. Their defense is loaded with talent, including defensive line.

I don't think they're a great team, by any means. They just have a few really good players.
