For one thing, the front office was given complete control of his assistant coaches, a rarity in this day, where coaches usually pack their staffs with people they are comfortable with. OK I worded it incorrectly. So instead of "McHale is forced to retain ..." it should have been written "Morey requires complete control of assistant coaches to be in the hands of the front office".
