For The Love Of God, Do Not Pay For The Mayweather-McGregor Fight There’s a fascinating boxing match on TV tonight between a faded, formerly great champion and a younger brawler with limited skills, but enough about the Cotto-Kamegai match on HBO. Instead of watching a real fight, millions will tune in for a glorified staring match between a middle-aged, retired, three-time ex-con and a semi-sentient growth protruding out of an oversized gorilla tattoo. Even though it is a stupid mismatch with no athletic significance whatsoever, its record-setting success is inevitable and unsurprising.

You mean staged/fixed for entertainment? Boxing needs a staged fight that is entertaining. After manny vs floyd everyone quit watching and nothing has been this hyped. My prediction is fooyd wins in an entertaining looking fight.
I think the boxing match could look exciting given that it's a boxer against an amateur, but watching an amateur get beat up by a boxer isn't worth 100 bucks so I certainly hope no one is paying for this nonsense.
I don't think many people really like Mayweather. But, if you don't appreciate his boxing skill you're not a boxing fan. It's really difficult to not be hit by someone who was trained their whole life to do just that
The thing I'm dreading is how literally anything can happen and won't totally surprise me. If Connor looks like a rookie people will say well obviously, if Connor knocks him out then they will say we'll Floyd is 40 and wasn't used to a different style...
LOL ... this is a given!!! We're living in a time where everyone knows everything AND speak in absolutes. Another given is that regardless if it's a crappy fight, or the fight of the decade, people will disagree about it and your viewpoint doesn't matter! If you want to watch the fight, DO IT....If you don't want to watch it, DON'T. I'm watching it to spend time with my son, I could care less who wins! ....... ....... .......
Hopefully not in the first round, BUT I would like to see that, especially if it leads to a knockout! Yes, I want to be entertained... ....... ....... .......

Taking Connor 1st round KO. Think he charges Floyd much like he did with Aldo and get the KO. At least that is what I would like to see.
I predict a boring fight like the Ricky Hatton fight. Mayweather defending, blocking punches and McGregor chasing him around, getting caught with jabs.
think about the additional payday for Floyd if McGregor wins, it means two additional fights Floyd is a businessman, can see him letting it go to a decision and McGregor winning
