I don't think it's pointless - the more you shine a light on this, the more pressure there is on the participants to do something about it. Everyone said the Congressional hearings were pointless and just for show, but look how much impact that has had on forcing sports to act. The bigger content than the names will be the recommendations and details in the report. But the names make it a much bigger issue for baseball to deal with. They can't claim it as a fringe thing or something that only a few bad apples were involved with, etc. Hopefully the report talks about HGH and the need to deal with that.
there are waaay to many big names there...everyone will just choose to ignore it. it was bad when only bonds was doing it, but now, everyone did it, oh well lets move on.
