The title reminds me of a comment I just read from Gregg Easterbrooks Tuesday Morning Quarterback column on ESPN.

    http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=easterbrook/070807&sportCat=nfl

(Easterbrook is an interesting guy... and, believe it or not, writes longer columns than even Bill Simmons does.)

Yeah, but the deseration by the Heat is very enjoyable...they have been a non-factor this offseason and its been pure satisfaction for me!

    Microfracture, I believe.

Really like the player. In a manner of ways, he's just like Tracy: aging, recurring injury, under-appreciated because of younger stars, unable to carry their respective teams, and both played for the Magic.

I agree. Just a really bad offseason. While I support not overpaying for Kapono and Posey, and trying to get more athletic, they havn't upgraded.

I really think had they gotten something like Alston and Hayes (for Haslem) or Alston + Reed + Snyder + JL3/Novak (for Williams and 1st--which we might have done for the expiring contract) and then signed Pietrus or Barnes as a FA, they could have taken the East.

As it is, maybe landing Pietrus that might salvage it. But they are not looking good at all.

I completely forgot about Washington. The East might actually be watchable this season...

Then we'll see a "Horace Grant Considering Comeback" headline on ESPN...

I will not be surprised if SPREE is also considering a comeback. Boston might be a good fit as he got along pretty well with KG
