That is a terrible idea. Basically you are throwing your money away. Trumps odds are +250. Which means the probability of of him winning according to vegas is 1/3.5=29%. The deal is priced at 50%. Therefore you are overpaying by 21% to bet on trump.

It is a suckers bet to pick trump in this offer even if you believe he will win.

You have the option of getting your original purchase refunded for, so if paid by credit card it goes to your credit card and you keep the mattress. Or you can choose to get 150% of your original purchase given back to you in store credit if you decide to go buy couches or something.

Yeah this. I wouldn't have done it were it just for store credit.

They've done it a few times already with Superbowl bets and Astros win totals.

This is a full hedge. He can also just partially hedge with a $100 or $200 on Trump to ease the pain if Trump wins, and then only paying $100 or $200 for those mattresses if Clinton wins.

So basically if you do this deal you either pay $2k for a mattress or pay nothing. Not a bad deal.

But you might just be better off buying a Purple mattress for $1k.

One thing I haven't thought of.... You know how certain credit cards will honor a refund if a store doesn't? You could theoretically have a zero risk bet if you call your credit card company beforehand and see if they would honor their refund policy.

You'll probably pay closer to $4K.

Do they not have Purple mattresses? And is Purple actually better than Temperpedic? Moving back to Houston this summer, so definitely might hop on this.

In case anyone's interested, I went in looking for an adjustable base and was told they were part of this deal as well. What they carried started at like $1600, which was above what I was looking to spend.

The Dems have probably cost themselves the election by Obama bringing up this bathroom crap and dictating to states what they want.

I saw how well misinformation and scare tactics worked for the folks who got HERO killed here in Houston. They'll use it again and Trump will win the White House. Houston is a solid blue city and HERO get slaughtered badly when black voters came to the polls. Don't be surprised is Hillary loses those same religious black voters to Trump.

    I hope not.

It's not a stretch to say this is the most important election in human history, since it can cost me $4,000.

Yep- talk about overreaching. The Democratic party does this almost every election- they're like the Rockets. What they should win easily, the screw up.

Shouldve did what Air Langhi said with the hedging of your bets with Trump in Vegas.

The race is a lot closer than I thought it was going to be.
