    Myth.

He was given plenty of opportunities to score in the post but he wasnt producing against the Mavs earlier or the Spurs last year. Heat didnt tell him NOT to score in the post. The assumption that the Heat relegated him to a spot up shooter when they are in dire need of a post presence is just silly. They could have used more than 0 point from him in game 7 of the Finals. They would gladly take post production from him if he could deliver.

Inflated stats on the Raptors while being the #1 option doesnt really do much for me.

    Houston: IN: LOVE
    OUT: ASIK/TJONES/DMO

    MIAMI: IN: ASIK/TJONES/DWILLIAM
    OUT: BOSH

    MINI: IN BOSH/DMO
    OUT: LOVE/DWILLIAM

Picks plus cash to make it actually happen.

Makes no sense for minny to replace love with bosh. Both top pfs but bosh's age wouldn't fit with the rest.
Not saying my trade is that realistic. Although if Lin continues to improve to start the season and show a sweet shot, and Miami struggles against bigs in the east and Greg Oden doesn't play......
I would just hate to see Houston give up both Lin and bev but bev is a huge asset with that contract that Miami would insist on.

Why would Miami break up their core? Even if Asik helps them, why risk chemistry issues? And would Miami be eager to help Houston acquire their own "big three"?

But I agree with the speculation about a multi team trade. Something is peculating.

In the end, you're probably right. They've won two in a row, won't break it up this season.

    Your input is appreciated.

Asik is as good as gone anyway.

I'm just speculating as to what it would take to get Bosh. If you learned to read, you'd see I tempered my remarks, wondering if we should give up good foundational pieces for a 3rd wheel All Star. It could be debated.

I mentioned the pick as small compensation for giving up a lot.

Because he's Bosh, a drama queen.

And - - he would be a poor fit on this team. We may not have the right 4 yet, but bosh to the idea Chris would be the fit.

Drama queen? You mean the same label Dwight Howard has had past 2 years? And how exactly is he a drama queen?

Efficiency doesn't inflate on bad teams, volume does. Efficiency typically goes down on bad teams, because teams game plan against the primary option.

Bosh is the 2nd. best pure scoring power forward in the game, behind only Dirk. He can score efficiently at a volume very few can, while keeping a low turnover rate, and consistently getting to the line. He is an average rebounder and isolation defender, but a top notch pick and roll defender (as the roll man).

He does not disappear any more than any other third option in history. Their just aren't that many shots to go around on the Heat. He gets lost as the third option behind an extremely ball dominant wing combo, often having to focus on larger centers, since they play him out of position constantly.

Pointing to one game or series is not how you evaluate a player, nor is using the cop out "soft" description. It is rhetoric and has no meaning. Soft is a code word for "I don't like a guy for whatever reason and to strengthen my position I am going to attach a non quantifiable characteristic that cannot be disproven".

If you want to claim him worse than Kevin Love, because you prefer elite rebounding to isolation scoring, or Duncan because of defense, fine....but as a scoring PF, he is in another tier from Griffin/LMA, second only to Dirk.

I think this is best trade for Minny, they reported they wanted Aldrige for Love... but Portland will not give up Aldrige... and imo bosh is the next best thing for they if they wanted to go anywhere... and Bosh is only 29... not really that old...

I think that would be correct. Bosh/Chalmers for Asik/Lin/DMo or TJ. That might work financially but...

Hee why we were shopping lin allthroughout the offseason but no one wants to touch that 8 million a year deal. Now if lin plays as well as he is playing throughout the regular season some teams might be enticed.

Possible but unlikely because there is zero reason for Minny to do such a trade. And yes it would cost the Rockets atleast a couple of 1st's bc both Miami and Minny wants picks...

Also unless, Lebron and DWade give the green light for that kinda trade, Bosh isnt leaving. I seriously doubt that Bosh would get done in like that by Lebron and Wade. They would seriously lose so much respect around the league as players...I think the big Miami three dies as their contracts expire.

Sure, they'll think about that deal. But they'll also shop him around. Because he is still locked up for 2 years, so a random other team might still trade for him, hope to get decent, and offer Love the 5 year max deal he wants. This particularly works for Eastern Conference teams, which could probably slip into the playoffs this year with such a trade, giving Kevin his first taste of playoffs.

The Cavs could trade Thompson, Waiters and multiple draft picks (they have a Kings first rounder for example, among others). That's a better offer. That pairs Love with Irving and Bennett... and potentially a healthy Bynum. That's a deal that Love isn't going to say screw that, I won't resign on that team cause I want to go to Houston.

Your scenario is nice, but works better next offseason, with a player truly dead set on Houston.

Let's face it. Right now we don't have what it takes to get Bosh, Aldridge or Love. If a third team wanted to get involved then that still won't help us cuz that third team would be better off trying to acquire the star themselves.

Only way this will change is if Lin plays unreal for the first few months (which can happen), but then we'd be giving up a lot too.

Maybe we want to start Bev in hopes he becomes very valuable and we package him with Asik
