The main reason the Rockets won it all in 94/ 95 was Jordan's retirement

If Jordan had been in the league -- especially in 1995 with the trade and all the Mad Max turmoil -- the Rockets would have never won it all.

Jorden played in the playoffs that year, so? Shaq and hardaway was too much for the Bulls.

If Jordan was in the league now, would Kobe and LeBron have any rings?

You have no idea in the world what you are talking about. Don't even act like you knew the NBA back then because if you did you wouldn't say something like that.

obviously, welcome to why an asterisk is beside 94/95. But thanks again for some real insightful answers

Jordan toke off after his championship in 93, gone for 94 and came back after one year to play in 95. If "IF" was a fifth, we all be drunk.

I apologize, I should have paid more attention before I posted.

I just got kind of pissed from coming here and seeing all of the threads about everybody crying instead of being happy about the bright future of the Rockets and that they're in the playoffs.

Basically, Jordan and East coast 'meat' riders keep saying Houston, would not have won, when Jordan only missed one full season, was in the playoffs and couldn't get it done. They also like to forget that Jordan didn't win every season he played in the NBA but like to believe that was the case.

They call Jordan era the last great era mainly because it was the last time most of the Eastern Conference wasn't a joke compared to the Western Conference.
