Triple double against scrubs isn't a big deal, its not like he will be getting 11 rebs against NBA big men on a nightly basis. What is a big deal is he only shot 38% FG against scrubs and only shot 1-5. If he can't get his shot off against scrubs what will happen to him in the NBA?

By comparison Tatum shot 48% FG and had 27 pts 11 rebs with 8/8 from the ft line . Thats a far better statline than meaningles rebs and horrible FG effiency.

That is valid. I remember when Nick Johnson was a rookie, he had a triple double in summer league with a 360 dunk. But Lonzo I feel will way better.

    I don't hate Lonzo Ball.

I think he'll be good. Sucks for him that he launches his shot so low; because of this he has to get a ton of separation in order to get the shot up.

But everything else about him looks good.

I'll take double digit assists over a .10 percentage field goal difference, Thanks. Scoring in the summer league is the most useless stat of all. Does Tatum make his teammaes better?

Also, seems like he is getting his shot off just fine, just missing. Easiest thing to correct. You can't teach court vision.

The name Ball is the only thing that can be said of him. His name balls not him.

    Good 2nd game btw.

Coulda said that about Terrance Williams, too. T-Will could play point, make nice passes, could get triple doubles, plus-athleticism for his position, could get OFF shots but wouldnt make them. But lack of mature development and falling in love with his own "brand" held him back. He was reluctant to play any other way than his own.

Where T-Will was his own bad influence, Lonzo has bad influence EXTERNALLY. For Lonzo's sake its hopefully not a similar end result.

scoring in SL is meaningless. But if you can't score in SL good luck scoring in the actual league.
Say he has 10 assists per game. And what? Can't space the floor, isn't a good penetrator , doesn't go to the line and is an awful defender.
At least from what he has shown so far.
At that point Rubio would be a better player since at least he can defend at elite level.

Every one of his 3-pointers is almost blocked, in street-ball summer league.

Thon has been an utter dissapointment. He hasn't improved his strength, and his hands are still godawful and so is his rebounding.
Kidd said they will make him the ballhandler.:D:D:D
