By all means, don't. No one should forget how lucky it seems like the Rockets are right now. I know the cult will pretend like the risk was never there, but those aren't people to be taken seriously. As for me, I'm happy that Jalen Green went from being one of the worst players I've ever seen for about half the season and now is looking absolutely amazing for a rookie. I don't regret being cautious and not heaping undeserved praise on him till he earned it.

Before I looked into him with more detail I bought the BS hype just like everyone else but that changed when I saw nothing but flash devoid of substance. Like Imanial wonders. Most people were not heaping praise at him when he was bad. Most of us were saying how stupid it was to draw conclusions about any player so early even as a preliminary projection. Turns out we were right, you do need to let young players play more than 20 games before making declarations. Some people were ready to call the kid a bust, ready to fire stone for picking him over mobley. That was wrong to do so early

I always said my comp was MJ-Kobe lite. I said he might not get MJ/Kobe success....but it would be just a tad short...still be better than LaVine and Beal. What's the point of giving a player comp if we are going to under sell the player and cut him off at the knees and short change them for far lesser type player. I would like to have a head count of who else said MJ-Kobe. I don't think it was just me. In a few years when it's obvious I know about 80 people will be saying they called it before the draft.
